Default If Stevie were to do an ‘In Your Dreams’ CD signing…

Would you go?

Let’s assume Stevie appears in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

Also, keeping in mind that you only about a minute or 2 to speak to her before security moves the line along, what would you quickly ask or say to her?

Personally, I’d go to the NYC signing. I wasn’t able to go to the one for ‘Crystal Visions’.

I think I’d just comment to Stevie that I heard Margi Kent was designing some new clothes for her, and I look forward to seeing them on stage (we all know she desperately needs a wardrobe makeover after 10 years of the same boring basic black)!

I've said this quite a few times, but I've got no interest in meeting Stevie. I wouldn't even approach Stevie if I saw her out in the wild, either. I rather like keeping her separate from 'real life' if that makes any sense. Stevie's always been my escape from crappy reality... so to meet and talk to her would make her very real. I don't need any answers from her either. I don't know her and she doesn't know me... so what right do I have to demand anything of her in that way?

I don't have a problem going to a meet-and-greet or signing, where these kind of interactions are expected (and the celebrity knows they are "on" and can prepare for it). I guess I would try to come up with something that hasn't been said by a bajillion people already, but it'd be weird to place too much emphasis on any verbal exchange -- nothing either one of us says is going to change the other's life in any possible way, so why gush like a fool?

I would definitely go to one if I had the chance. I probably wouldn't say anything to extravagent or really even be able to think of a question to ask her... I'd most likely just end up introducing myself, thanking her for her music and her time and then be on my way.

Sure, now that she knows I exist lol. But seriously, not if I had do wait in line for 3 hours. My Stevie dream came true (except the bedroom part, j/k) so I'd like to give other people the opportunity.

I've probably said it before, but you can never anticipate the feeling of having Stevie's singular attention, even if it's for a split second. I've met some of my idols over the years, and I've randomly passed by other celebrities around the city, so I know they are just people like anyone else. But Stevie's different; there's that moment when she looks you square in the eyes that you almost feel like you're going to spontaneously combust on the spot. I was totally not prepared for that. And for some reason that has only happened with Stevie. I liken it to some kind of extreme sport like heli-skiing. It's that intense.

And I'd love to have that experience... but only if it happened organically. Like if we somehow ended up in an elevator together and someone else didn't have her attention... then I'd say hello. But as far as waiting hours in line to see her while crazed fans flip out embarrassingly... no thanks . That'd just make me feel oogie and uncomfortable.

I really never want to meet Stevie. One, I'd be too nervous, heart palpitations and all. I wouldn't be able to speak. I have an image of her or expectations that are kinda sacrosanct to me. That's the way I want to keep it, even though all indications are she is a really sweet person to talk to.

IF i were able to pass the stress test and meet "THE QUEEN OF ROCK AND ROLL"(gimme an amen here!), I'd just THANK HER for IYD and all the music she's given me over the years. I'd want her to know how important her words and music have been to me in my life. That's all. I ain't just bein' sappy here!
