I'm pretty sure that is Stevie in the first cap. It looks like her arms and hair to me.

You're totally right! Those are definitely her thicker forearms, and those are most certainly her signature split ends, too!

I'm sorry to say that I watch Fashion Police with Joan Rivers. They show photos of celebrities, mostly to critique the fashion. However, they have a segment called "Guess me from behind," where you try to guess who the celebrity is without seeing their face.

Be it her arm, legs, head, silhouette, I have a feeling that all of us would be pretty good at guessing Stevie from behind, if they gave us a line up of people and never showed any of their faces.

One of the things I liked during the SYW tour was during NGBA, when Stevie was not singing on the chorus at the beginning, she'd be in the corner getting dressed for Rhiannon and she was fully visible to the audience as her assistant put on her long black sleeved covering. You could see her bare arms and I was struck by the lack of modesty there. True, the spotlight was not on her and she was in the semi-darkness, but there was no shield up. It was like she was getting dressed in open view. I always found that kind of intimate and charming.

From what I remember there are several young "Stevies" looking at themselves in the mirror in the video and sizzle reel.

This always stuck in my mind as well. I don't remember her doing it at the later 03' and 04' shows, but at that first show in May of 03' I was like "woah baby"!

Question Secret Love Screen Shots

I do love the 1st shot featuring Stevie's spectral aura in front of what appears to be a circus-style drop screen. I would be loving the 2nd shot with the misty ominous forest more if Stevie were featured within it. Which brings me to the 3rd screen cap (which is the most concerning) of which I like to refer to as a Stevie-bot - trying desperately to capture a thimbleful of the potency & enchanting spirit of La Nicks. Somebody should have told Dave and his crew that simply wearing Stevie's vintage Rumours gossamer does not illicit the same magnetism or response. And the fact that she bares no resemblance to Stevie is further distracting, unless they set out to feature cross-cultural sisters of the moon.

The last 2 screen shots in particular remind me of Deep Dish's video for "Dreams" which featured a young Stevie-ish actress. IMO A video full of aberrations of Stevie is not what I want to see featured in Stevie's 1st music video in a decade. The imagery is interesting but lets hope the execution is skillful not caricatural.

If you look carefully, the outline of Mini-Stevie in the third shot can be seen in the first shot, which leads me to believe that there is a transition from Stevie to Mini-Stevie while she is in mid-twirl. It seems like an intriguing concept... Mini-Stevie back in the day was a wayward little gypsy in a traveling show, but now the elder gypsy is the show and even wears the ringmaster's tophat to prove it. So perhaps Mini-Stevie's secret love was a clown... or perhaps the bearded lady?

If you're going to have "younger Stevie's" in a video wouldn't it make more sense to actually use old video footage of younger Stevie? Just sayin'...

That would be so great. You could have current Stevie make the same movements, so as to match the old footage with the new. But digitally, that might cost too much. I'm sure they don't have a big budget to work with.

They could have found someone who like remotely resembled Stevie hahaha. Also, young Stevie generally had bangs and her hair wasn't board straight like that.... that would have been an easy fix to make it look more like her, imo.

So maybe the young girls are representing Stevie's universal appeal and how she is timeless and influences younger women. OK.

Maybe so. Too bad. I bet there are some uber talented Ledgies who could do some pretty nifty stuff. Hopefully, this video won't disappoint as much as the screenshots...

No, not picturing that sort of montage exactly - more of the "Rhiannon" wailing- chiffon-wearing - twirling Stevie's of old intermingled with current twirling Stevie as Michele described above.
