The DC show ROCKED! I've never seen Lindsey so animated! He looked like he was having a great time!Stevie was her usual beautiful self but I think she might be developing some arthritis or something in her back-she's kinda careful how she moves=:-)I can relate as I have arthritis in my hips and back. She sounded wonderful though. Even John seemed more animated. Mick did his usual drum vest thing, but thank god it was an encore and wasn't as long as usual.
Highlights for me were "Come", which sounds much better live; "Beautiful Child" which was drop dead gorgeous; "Destiny Rules" which I fell in love with listening to the live version; "Say You Will" which is better sans the Mac kiddies;"Eyes of the World", which rocked! and which got taken off the set list for The Dance tour before I got to see the show; and "Goodbye Baby", which again sounds better live. They did some of the staples, too-the usual "Chain", "Dreams", "Silver Spring","Landslide","Gypsy"-this was the twangy version though that I like better than the album version,"Gold Dust Woman"(same hand motions, guys-everybody was doing them-LOL), "I'm So Afraid"-Brett did a pretty good job on that intro-almost sounded like Chris,"Rhiannon", "Big Love" and "Tusk"-Lindsey was kinda playful during this number and was butting Stevie with his head-LOL. From where I was sitting I could see behind Stevie and Lindsey and Neil Haywood was there, Carlos Rios, Mindy and Sharon, Brett was the keyboardist-I bet he is having a great but stressful time keeping up with Lindsey! What an experience though for him.. You can't help but see in this show the deep connection that exists between Stevie and Lindsey. They basically sang this show to each other. I am not one of those who thinks they will ever be together romantically but they are closer than alot of married couples I know. I know some of it is staged but not all of it. It also says something about their characters that they have been able to leave the past behind enough to work together again. Enough rambling now. I just hope these people "don't make me wait" another 6 years to see them again-LOL! Only complaint: For me as a hardcore fan=:-), there was too much repetition of old stuff. I wanted more of the new songs. However, I understand why they do the old stuff=:-) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Great review Vianna! I love reliving the show over and over with everyone's comments. I do agree though..I would have liked more new material in the concert. Some of the old songs, even though they are great, get worn out.
Happy post-concert high! Tamara ![]()
