Thumbs up Pittsburgh show (Spoiler Info)

OH MY GOD! This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! Stevie seemed a little tired and needed help off stage and stuff...something's not right with her. Like someone said, it could be her hip. But she still got very into the music and dancing in place at the mic. She did this wail at the end of Rhiannon that was just amazing...she's hasn't wailed like that in YEARS. Lindsey was in absolute top form, and speaking of Lindsey, what I say next was the most special thing about this whole show.

I saw the thread saying 1st row seats were showing up for Pittsburgh. Even though I already had 20th row, I bought front row in hopes of selling the 20th row ones (which didn't go too well, but that's not the point). So I was right there in the front row at stage left (Lindsey's side) about five chairs in, so I was still angled to him but I could see very well. I was definitely the most boisterous member of the front row, and Lindsey took notice after a chorus of Peacekeeper (during an instrumental part). He looked down right at me and I screamed and raised my arms and cheered, and he smiled and then bent down and started playing right at me, making one of his mystical, demon style faces. At least a half a dozen times after that, he kept checking on me I guess and each time he looked I did the same thing, screaming "Yeah!" and "You rock!" and he would smile or nod his head and play right at me for a while. It honestly happened in so many songs, and even while he was sitting on the side while Mick introduced the band...he looked down and looked like he was trying to catch what I was saying, but I suddenly became speechless and just mouthed "Yeah" and raised my arms, and he just smiled. I don't know what it was about me that caught his attention...but it was just so surreal. The whole night was just amazing, and concert goers won't be disappointed. I just CANNOT get over how much he looked and played at me. I think I was his favorite fan there . Even my dad said to my mom during the concert, "Looks like Lindsey has a new friend." Maybe it was because he was astounded at how young I am and yet so into their music.

One last thing. Unfortunately, Running through the Garden seems to be dropped, but they added Second Hand News. I can't remember where, but it was in there. Ah! Nevermind, it was right before Gold Dust Woman. What an awesome, awesome night.

I'm with you 100%! I really don't think I can go to bed right now...I'm still so wired!

So nice that you caught Lindsey's attention! I tried screaming for him myself...not loud enough I guess!

That's great that you had Lindsey's attention throughout the show, you must have been floating on a cloud.

Sounds like a great show and special moments you'll always remember!

I've heard tell about performers establishing eye contact with and especially playing to fans with whom they feel a great exchange of energy. What a great experience, thanks for posting!

Default Thank you for your post!

I loved reading all you had to say about the show. Another dynamite night for Fleetwood Mac! Wow, how VERY cool that you had that encounter with Lindsey!

You know, I'm thinking about what you said about Stevie and her needing to be helped off the stage. I read of Stevie hurting her hip- it sure sounds like something mean is going on. Like some onset of some sort of severe arthritis or something. A review posted elsewhere Mick's board said something about Stevie being in a wheelchair after a show. Maybe it was a rumour, but that would make sense if she's having a lot of pain. Maybe she really should get out of those boots and wear what makes her comfortable. Her condition seems to be getting more irritated/aggravated.

I'm happy to hear that she is pulling out the stops on Rhiannon! Thank you for your comments.

You're all welcome, and thanks a lot for responding. I'm still walking on air right now. After the week I'd had, this was the best pick-me-up. I still keep going through the whole thing in my head. My dad keeps making fun of me because Lindsey would look at me, and all I kept doing was hesitating at first, then throwing my arms up and screaming "YEAH" or more appropriately, "YAY!" I keep wondering if he'll remember me or not, or even if he talked about it to the band when he went off stage. Just the looks he gave me and everything...I'm honestly more excited NOW then I was last night, and I wish it would happen all over again, or just in a perpetual nonstop surreality. As you can see, putting this feeling in words is not easy...a member of my favorite band basically playing to me so much. Lindsey may have been just as excited as me. What's weird is when I got the front row tickets, they were for Stevie's side, but then when we got to the will-call booth they were for Lindsey's side. I don't think Stevie would have been as interactive with me, as she wasn't even very interactive with this guy right in front of her who was just going nuts. He might have even been more boisterous than me. But something about me got Lindsey's attention, and when I got home I just wrote and wrote about it. I HOPE beyond hope a good bootleg video gets around to traders for the Pittsburgh show so I can have that feeling forever. And to think that if a video DOES end up in circulation, that many times Lindsey looked somewhat to his left and smiled and played in that direction, I can say that everyone will be witnessing his reaction to my enthusiasm. I'll end this nonsense now...sorry, I just can't get over this.
