Thanks TrueFaith77, for this...totally made my day ( my week, actually )!!

He really does sound great doesn't he? The interviewer knew his stuff and didn't keep asking the same old questions...it makes a big difference!

I'm more excited than ever now for the album to come out !!!

My favorite quote though is, "I’ve done pretty well at undermining that over the years."

I just thought this was interesting. Googled "Seeds We Sow" and got an interview with LB in 2003 with this quote (discussing his leaving FM in '87, etc.):

"Leaving was a survival move for me. I said, “I’ve got to grow in some way. I can’t do this anymore.” And maybe doing that, which no one in the band was too happy about at the time, was the only way to sow the seed for what’s happening now. So when Mick came to me, he had done a lot of growing. He asked if I wanted him to play on some of my tracks. In retrospect, my paranoid self might’ve suspected that this “synchronicity” was organized. It doesn’t really matter though--the joy that came out of us was pretty extraordinary. Eventually, John McVie came in, and at some point, with three of us together in a room recording, a light bulb went off; Someone said, “Well, what about a reunion thing?” Stevie wanted that too, so my solo album went on the shelf."

Oh, this was great and so unexpected. Such a comprehensive interview. Thank you!

I love how he says he hasn't listened to SYW lately, but his "intuition" tells him . . . Uh, dude, can't his memory tell him? Does he remember the songs on the album that he also performed consistently on an 18 month tour. Nothing really to intuit.

Love the idea of his daughters hearing his new album on the car cd and singing along to it.

They kept the Ampex downstairs? Does that mean they had a two story place?

I loved the "American Idiot" comment, but I was a little afraid reading it. I don't want that to come back and bite him some day.

Heart Seeds We Sow !!!

Thanks so much for the good interview!
Sounds hopeful and exciting to plan a Lindsey
adventure again!
Liked the comment about his wife making up a CD to play in the car and the girls singing to it!

Really liked the interview, and anxious to hear new stuff from him. When exactly is this supposed to be coming out?

I liked Under the Skin a lot (at least as much as Gift of Screws), so if the new one is more along those lines, it's perfectly all right with me.

"near-future" is the only release date of which we are aware.

How do people feel about him structuring his concerts on solo acoustic playing with full-band songs (or support?) only later in the show (rather than the UTS alternating chunks)?

I think it could be interesting--wonder if he'd dig deeper into the catalogue a la "Trouble," "Go Insane," "Big Love" or just add new songs to the acoustic repetoire.

I mean. Imagine. An acoustic solo version of "Go Your Own Way"...

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

If he never played Go Your Own Way or acoustic Big Love again, I wouldn't miss them.

I think he should mix it up. Don't wait 6 songs in to bring in the band. It's fine to do "Not Too Late" just to start off and then have the band appear for a few uptempo songs and then let them go backstage. But I think it's best to alternate fairly regularly, just to keep the balance.

Awwww. Recover quickly. You'll have x-ray vision in just a day or two and the interview will still be here.
