woops! the accusatory tone of the rest of your post muddled my reading comprehension. i hate when that happens!

anyway - i've made my point.

also, to FM77 - i think it's a waste of time to defend yourself. just know there are people on the board who appreciate the information you've decided to share.

One Side: "Hey guys, I was lucky enough to hear some of the tracks on Stevie's upcoming album. They sounded great!"

The Other Side: "If you can't recall every detail then you must obviously be a total and complete liar, so shut up!"

***

I thought The Ledge was a place of tolerance, where fans could come together and not risk being attacked by other fans? Is this not the case any longer? Shame.

The old mantra "If you don't have anything nice to say....." still carries a lot of worth in these modern times.

It is very hard to provide "new" information to someone who already knows it all. Good for you.
Why would you even say you think you heard a vault song when you've said you don't listen to demos. Theres no way you just feel a song is a vault song. You just never should've said anything about vaults, if you've never actually heard any vault songs. That makes no sense.

And I was on the team of people that thought FM77 heard the album, but this Lady From the Mountain stuff basically confirms they didn't.

I've kind of always liked the one that goes"If you don't have anything nice to say ..come sit by me!

That's funny!

But really guys, to the rest of us reading this thread the arguments are tiresome. If you don't believe FM77, that's ok. It just seems mean to make a smear campaign out of it (still), when the issue was initially discussed weeks ago.

Sorry ! after your concrete interpretation of my "question" I was trying to keep things in that vein.

Yep they are ..and apparently one and the same with "Lady From the Mountain " as well.On edit some people are also saying the word "vampire" pops up in the "New Orleans" song also but no one seems to have heard it yet to confirm.

Okay - because for a while, people were saying "Twilight" and "Vampire" were two different songs. But they're the same. Trying to keep all this straight. lol

Interesting that LFTM has apparently been re-worked to create this "Moonlight" song. So there are only 3 tracks we don't know the titles of yet, if there are indeed 13 tracks on the album. But then there's apparently a 14th track that might be released as a bonus? Are we sure the 14th track isn't one of the ones we already know about?

I'm not sure about the 14th track but at this point as far as I know there are only 2 on the album that we don't know the title of The New Orleans song and one other.

Was it determined that "Wide Sargasso Sea" is the actual title of the song based on that book?

No definitive news on that one either .We'll probably have to wait for the tracklist which I'd think will turn up soon.

And I was on the team of people that thought FM77 heard the album, but this Lady From the Mountain stuff basically confirms they didn't.

LFTM was a vault song (according to the board--not me) that morphed into The Twilight Song which I confirmed I heard and did not like. My mistake was not being familair with LFTM enough to make the connection to a teen movie made 30 years later. I assumed LFTM was a real song...otherwise, why would Stevie re-name it and re-write it as something else. I never ever made that connection and neither did one of the people at the listening party. Stevie herself makes no mention of that title--she introduces this as a NE W SONG written about Twilight. If you are sitting in a room with Miss Nicks, would you assume she is lying about her own music? I didn't.

As I have said, I love the record (I don't like the Twilight song) and I think her fans will too. If everyone on the board is a fan, all that really matters is there is a new record. No one has offered any evidence that I lied about anything with regard to the record. I never claimed knowledge of "vault" songs...that came from the board. I only suggested that my favorite track on the disk may be a vault song because it sounded "vintage" to me.
