Of course! He didn't want to ruin the surprise for us!

We have a little problem with our beloved "Lady From the Mountain".Jamie, the other person who was at the event did not mention it at all.

"Lady from the Mountain" is morphed into the Twilight song...but from what I understand, it stays true to the demo.

So this means all this time we have been doing all this speculation on the 'Twilight Song' and it has really been 'Lady from the Mountain' all along. How ironic and funny! I love it........

It seems like the drift of the conversation is that "Moonlight" is based on the "Lady from the Mountain" demo, so I edited the front page of this thread to reflect that...

If she's kept the lyrics mostly the same, I'm at a total loss to see how Lady From The Mountains has anything to do with Vampires The woman never ceases to amaze me.

Maybe this will help:

Some call her strange
Lady from the Mountains
Oh and others say
She's not really real

How were those lyrics inspired by Twilight, they are over 30 years old. The whole Twilight thing seems false to me.

I've kind of reconciled myself to it.Stevie is no longer the wild party girl she was 30 plus years ago having romances(sometimes more than one at once) and riding the wave of stardom in a more innocent time. Her songwriting peaked in her 20s to early 30s and this is the norm for rock artists ..not the exception.I guess we should be glad at this point that she is inspired to write by something and as much as I hate to see LFTM morphed it is her song to do with as she pleases. Some of it may be due to an attempt to court teens and tweens which may have worked only if the song was on a "Twilight " soundtrack and featured prominately in the next film.

You should just relax and enjoy the record when it is released.

Yeah i'll admit I have gotten a bit too worked up over it having been a fan for well over 30 years and really expecting not to ever see the release of a new Stevie album ...but at least I didn't come on here pretending to have heard the album when it is pretty clear that it wasn't the case at all.

There have been several fans over the years that come to the ledge that are in the music business. Everything FM77 has said has been true. Just because he couldn't remember specific lines from one of the songs does not make him a liar. You should be more careful when you point fingers at people.

Jondalar posted the lyrics from LFTM for him/her to read and I believe he/she may have heard the youtube clip as well .It is now being reported that most of the song is on there with a few new lines.FM77 claims to have heard the album either 2 times or 3-4 times.I don't see how even the most casual fan could not notice the similarity so therefore I don't buy it.

Well considering the fact that Lady from the Mountain is still 70% Lady from the Mountain, same melody, 2 out 3 verses the same, he should of recognized it. I mean it's obvious who is playing games with fans minds.
