Cool Columbus Rocked

Hi All...Kitten and I (Photo) are still recovering from an amazing trip to Columbus! OH DEAR GOD the opening night show was incredible! We had a great trip both up and back....and while staying there!
Some personal highlights of the trip:
Our friend who braved the not-often-friendly skies to see FM...she said she couldn't stay away after having such a blast with us at The Today Show in NYC!
Our hotel which was billed as "A Tropical Paradise"...but yet, was virtually on the runway of the Columbus airport! Never mind! We loved the place which came replete with a talking parrot named Caribe! We tried in vain to teach her to sing some Mac tunes...and settled instead for wolf whistling! (Gotta love a parrot with a solid whistle!) A friendly hotel staff! And last but not least (shameless plug for a kind woman)...a great little pub called Annie's Roadhouse! Sweet woman who runs the place kept it open just to feed us after the show....and we all left saying we wished that we could go back there regularly! Columbus is a nice town with lots of friendly people! Thanks Columbus!
The show was astounding! No words will suffice to convey that this band...still way rockin' and having a great time doing it! We admit a deep love for all things Stevie...but, have to say that the whole band was amazing. Anyone heading to this show in the future will not be disappointed!
We had great seats in the 8th Row....hard earned despite attempts by the so called "Fan Club" to stand in the way of our getting them. Still cannot believe that whole fiasco...still cannot believe the pricing on the mid and upper section seats! Sorry for all who had trouble and were burned...have read too much about that **** of late!
Stevie was (of course) lovely as always! Her voice is strong and clear. They need to give us more volume on it though...her voice should have a bigger presence for sure.
The show ran an astounding 2 and a half hours and they did 25 songs...still cannot believe that! Lindsey's guitar work was excellent and he and Stevie seemed to cater to one another all night long! When they kissed after Landslide, we about fell over! The highlight of the night for us was hearing Beautiful Child. Waiting years to hear that one and being blown away...moved totally to tears! Just graced to be there for that! That was followed by GDW....she had her shawl...the lights glowed...it was magical! Sorry to hear that they already dropped Running Through the Garden because it was spectacular! Mindy and Sharon were excellent throughout the night and on that song, they rocked! Each time Stevie sang "turn around", she twirled her finger in the air! She just seemed way happy to be there! We also got a great Silver Springs, and Goodbye Baby...made us cry again at the end of the show. Stevie rocked the damn place! Have to say also that Lindsey went nuts and outdid himself on guitar. His singing was (contrary to what I have read elsewhere) really good! But his guitar playing...breaking strings, slinging spit and sweat all over the place! He even changed our minds in favor of the song, "Come" which had not been a favorite before. Really good!
Again...this show was just outstanding! Cannot wait to see them again! SOON!!!!
For those still waiting for show time....get ready to have a blast! You will leave with a huge smile on your face!
For anyone not able to be at the show, or those not able to accomplish it, I was able to shoot several rolls of film with professional equipment and I should have some nice pictures from opening night. If you have an interest, email me privately please ([email protected]). I also have some great images from the sound check and the actual performance at The Today Show from last month. Happy to hear from anyone who wants to know more.
STEVIE NICKS ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Peace..................Photo

Glad you had a great time. Thanks for the review.
I haven't read all the Columbus threads. Where did you hear they dropped RTTG? I really wanted to hear that!

Oh man...I know, it really does suck!!!! Such a great song! Hoping that they maybe dropped it for tonight's show only, or something! I read that review on a Stevie list...guy that just got back from the show in DC...said some in the crowd were unhappy that they left it out of the set list tonight! Here's hoping they bring it back...IMMEDIATELY!!!!

Thumbs up Thank you for another great review!

It is wonderful reading them! I know of Kitten's photography first hand, having purchased from her in the past. Sounds like you are in the business as well. I sure hope there will be more great pictures coming! Thank you for the show through your eyes. Maybe you can put a link up in this thread to your pictures if that website still exists!

Will be back to you on that! Yep...Kitten, quite the photographer herself!
Anyway, thanks for the kind responses and will let you know as soon as I have the images in my hands! Have a great night!
