Wow, we have so many impressive people on here. Fleetwood Mac should eat this **** up. I'm a junior in college. English major. Education minor. I do a ton of private tutoring, and I also run an SAT prep program out of a high school in my area.

Finished the phD last September and while looking for uni lecturing positions (I'll most likely end up in the US - hurrah) I'm working full time at a high school with 900 kids running the office there. I used to work at a non-mainstream school for children with social, educational and behavioural needs.

Yes, only an adult unit; 18 and over. I read your earlier post that you work with children and adolescents. I don't think I could handle that. Its hard enough to handle the misfortunes of adults, but children, that would be too much for me to handle.

In my dreams, I'm a NICU nurse.
Will you PLEASE get your ass in nursing school?!?!

HA! I worked residential treatment for adolescents for 5 years & I don't think I would have been able to deal with ADULTS!

I'm an RN as well; have been a nurse for about 16 years. Have worked with profound developmentally disabled kids & inpatient mental health population in the past. Now I'm the clinic manager at a university health clinic.

On February 21, 2001 I started my own Janitorial Service, cleaning commercial accounts. Here I am exactly 10 years later, a successful businessman. I love being self employed. I have the best schedule of anyone I know.

I like it because I get to read all my favorite usage books & get paid for it: Fowler, Follett, Barzun, Partridge, Garner, Gowers, & so on.

Nice to see all of the medical professionals on the board. My dear ol' Mum was a RN before major back and knee problems forced her to retire early. She was an excellent oncology nurse, and I know it kills her not to be able to do it anymore. Las Vegas doesn't have a nursing union, so she walked away with nothing but medical problems of her own. Now, money for her is pretty tight. I feel terrible for her. Not to mention she's married to a complete dick, but that's an entire other thread.
