But this is literally about vampires, which would be like her writing a song called "Silver Springs: Dreams of a Highway Sign."
How do we know it's about vampires? She has said it was "inspired by" the movies. And if you reference the "A Vampire's Dream" in the title, I'll point you to "Doing the Best that I Can (Escape from Berlin)".

It could be...I've never seen it. I was just going off of the Wikipedia entry on it. Doesn't look like it had much staying power, or did very well commercially.

That is a great example.

The connection to Berlin is a bit of a head scratcher, but at least she had the honesty to put it in parentheses, i.e., "in words unspoken..."

Since it is highly unlikely that the phrase "A Vampire's Dream" could be a recurrent refrain in the song (at least I hope not), I am guessing that this will be one of those Stevie songs where the song title does not get mentioned (or barely mentioned) in the lyrics, e.g., "Dreams," "Gate and Garden," "Sable on Blond," "The Nightmare," "Battle of the Dragon," "Edge of Seventeen," etc. Let's just hope the imagery is gothic but stops short of baring fangs and sucking blood.

Well a good hint came from David Wilde when he said that her album is full of vampires and ghosts

Yes, I have been attracted to vampires. It started in my childhood. I'm not sure I needed a song about them, but as everyone has pointed out, it's not like TISL is about the OJ Simpson trial. So, there might not be any cause for concern.

And for the gothic part, to me the main tension in a good vampire story is the same as it is in Jane Eyre. We can never be together and the longing for something that can never be might not be just dangerous, but deadly. The song can easily capture that theme without any stakes through the heart.

Anne Rice got me hooked on Vampires. No one writes likes her and Concrete Blondes Bloodletting is a great album based on her vampires.

I think my problem is the title. I mean, what the f*ck.

I think Stevie's classier than just making blatant references... she always has been. For instance, according to her, Edge Of 17 is about John Lennon's murder. God knows, none of us would have ever been able to pick that one out had she not explained it to us. With the exception of That Made Me Stronger, Stevie's not very literal. I'm hoping it'll be the same way for this Twilight inspired song!!
Every time Stevie does something that makes me want to rip her hair out, you put common sense back into me and make me feel like she hasn't failed us (yet). This is why we're married.

Do you guys realize Stevie in this article is saying that not only did she write a song about Twighlight:

"I had written a song in Brisbane, Australia when I was on tour with Fleetwood Mac in 2009 called 'Moonlight -- A Vampire's Dream' which was inspired by the 'New Moon' film. When I finished writing that song, which came together really quickly, I knew the time was right to start recording."

So the TISL album catalyst is OJ SImpson and In Your Dreams is the Twighlight saga

I think she is just saying that writing the new song..apparently the first she had written in a couple of years, gave her the inspiration to make another album .It does not indicate to me that the theme of the album is the Twilight movie, after all it isn't even the title of the album. However if one of those lame teenybopper films inspried her to finally record again perhaps that is the sole redeaming quality that they posses.

I'm still completely blown away that Stevie Nicks has even HEARD of Twlight, never mind watching the dire dire dire movies.

I've SEEN New Moon. It's sole redeeming feature? Quite a lot of nice men take their tops off.

The rest? Oh dear God, make the **** acting stop.

It'll probably end up being your favorite song on the record.

I can't believe we're not speculating more on this:

The first single "Secret Love" written by Nicks is currently on iTunes. "It was 1976 and Fleetwood Mac was opening for Peter Frampton at the time. It was written about a forbidden relationship -- not Peter and I," laughed Nicks. "I always knew that one day I was going to record the song."
