EDIT: Well, at least we have one sign of spring soon: pitchers and catchers report next week!
Walking across the yard in this snow is a work out in itself LOL Me shoveling is cute I must say =P I want this stupid snow to melt too!!! I dont mind the snow days but I'll pass on the actual SNOW lol I wouldnt mind a 100+ degree summer since my biffle has a pool =P

A snow day would be nice if it happened on a Thursday and caused class to be canceled for the day (I have no Friday classes and it'll mean a 4-day weekend), but all this damn snow sitting around has gotta go. I'm sick of my car getting pelted with the sand on the roads (and it just needs to stop snowing so I can wash it). At least it's been getting warmer around here

As for the hot days, I'm thankful for my house's central A/C (except it didn't really come in use a few years back, when our old one broke, which was over 20 years old, and had water coming through the ceiling. Throw in a heat wave during the week it broke and me working as a camp counselor that summer and it's a recipe for disaster ), but I don't have a pool (backyard isn't big enough cause we have a retaining wall) and all my friends dorm during the school year and live far away from me (OK, most live in the city an hour away from me, but I had a friend Ross who lived in Florida and a friend Nathalie who lives in Maryland) and I don't exactly like the people I went to high school with, but either way, you're too lucky getting to have a pool!

I have to go watch my cousin act in a pantomime later. WHY?!?!?! I HATE panto. She didn't come to my art exhibition or anything like that yet I'm expected to sit through this pile of dross for 2 hours and miss Skins later. I'm tired, cranky, hungry and can't be arsed with anything. I want a night in with my computer, the fabulous new book I'm reading and my Ab Fab DVDs not a stupid panto. I'm not 8 anymore.

It's a very English theatrical tradition that I think most people outside of the UK just wouldn't get!

I'll leave someone else to explain it if they can be bothered going into the weirdness of it all!

Just stumbled upon a very cool link on male privilege: http://amptoons.com/blog/the-male-privilege-checklist/

(Inspired by BTFLCHLD. Yes, I wanted a link for "privilege...let me google that for you.")

^ every time I read the word privilege, Joanna Lumely tells me "You don't have to be posh to be privileged" in my head.

Eugh, I just read the link. I'm keeping my gob shut or I'll get banned.

I thank my lucky stars (fairly periodically) that I was not born female. Geez, it's a tough world out there!

The thing I can't imagine the most, is fear of being mugged or raped. Although I was almost mugged two different times in Nashville, this year.

Yeah, I think it's easier being a man...
