I was really counting on the Glee cast performing some of Stevie's solo material. I could see an all out attitude cover of Stand Back easily! Besides how hard would it be to pull off an entire Stevie themed show? The easiest and most obvious would be to do all out "Rumours" themed show complete with a partner-swapping comedy/drama with tongue firmly in cheek episode of them doing the hits of FM's soap opera heyday
Same here. I feel like the whole reason Stevie has any interest in going on the show is to get her name out there, not Fleetwood Mac's! I know she wrote Landslide, but many young people will think it was the Dixie Chicks, and if they somehow happen to figure out that it was actually Fleetwood Mac, I doubt they will look much further to see that Stevie Nicks wrote it. I'm hoping they do more than just Landslide, but if not, the name Stevie Nicks better fly out of someone's mouth or I am going to be pissed!

she probably is a fan (God knows why) of the show, perhaps? That and she's got a new album to promote soon

I would love this, but they would never do a Stevie episode. She doesn't have the massive youth appeal of Brittney or Gaga, and her brand isn't as big as Madonna's.
I do think the idea of a Rumours episode has legs, though. It does seem like the kind of challenge Schu would throw at the kids, and could easily be woven into a plot for the main couples. The only issue is that the show generally tries to keep a balance between classic and contemporary in each episode, so I don't know whether they'd go for an entire show from 1977...

Didn't they do a whole episode with Journey songs? I would say they have nearly zero appeal with the youth of today...

that was a throwback to their first hit on the show. Plus, in my experience teenagers these days are generally obsessed with Don't Stop Believing. They played it at my prom and then at my winter dance and everyone went nuts both times.

well, the 80s always makes a comeback... she had plenty of good 80s material to be remembered, and worth of re-introducing it to todays youth

Agreed! At frat parties people go ALL OUT for Don't Stop Believing. It's seriously one of the favorites.

And I don't think it was a whole Journey episode--just a Journey medley (might be off on that one). And yeah, it was because Journey had been such a huge hit for them in the pilot.

Don't you recall this being in the news, not so long ago? Landslide was great! Stevie loved it too. I can imagine it:

yeah but to say they'll "never do" a Stevie episode? What other reason would she have for visiting the set? Come on, now.

Cool

People who are worried about kids and teens thinking landslide is a dicksy chicks song need to get a clue.THAT WAS ALMOST A DECADE AGO!!!!!! No one under the age of 18 will think of them. And those 27 and older will remember the dance. Or. Have heard the Original. YET-ONE-MORE CONCERN RESOLVED.

Agree to disagree? Just saying, her appeal is different from the performers they've chosen to do entire episodes around. Yes, many adults watch the show, but Ryan Murphy has made it fairly clear his goal is to inspire a love of music in the young teen set. He'll throw the boomers a bone, but I don't see him devoting an entire episode to someone many in his target audience haven't even heard of. Anything's possible, but I really, really don't see an entire Stevie ep happening. I think she was only visiting to encourage the idea of a cameo, and maybe get a little press.
The most I could see is something similar to what Olivia Newton-John did. She didn't have her own episode, but they re-did her video and gave her a hilarious subplot. Something comparable would be great for Stevie.

What's funny about what you just said is that I refer to that as "the Olivia Newton john" eppisode.

I guess it depends on how you define a special ep? Her appearance was awesome and definitely memorable, but it they only played one of her songs. I can totally see that she owned that show and it could be considered the ONJ episode, but I'm not inclined to group it with the Madonna, Brittney, and Gaga eps. And I've had the impression that's what some are hoping for--an episode of all Stevie or FM music.

If there is indeed going to be a FM/SN theme one day, the cast can replicate the 'Stand Back' video in all its glory like they did Madonna's 'Vogue'.

The cast can dress up as the cheesy 80's background dancers while Finn (Cory Monteith) plays the Brad Jeffries part.

Rachel (Lea Michele), in a blond wig, chiffon, and platforms, can be Stevie - treadmill and all.

Or would Sue (Jane Lynch) make a better Stevie?
