I like the lyrics but I wish that their voices were harmonizing, rather than singing together in the same key (that's how it sounds to me, anyway )

I love Greta.

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Thanks for this. I couldn't get this to work when it was originally posted on Dave's site so I'm glad to have finally heard it.

God, those lyrics are AWFUL though. Her voice sounds great and it's lovely to hear her do a simple ballad and close harmony again but those lyrics really, really suck. I was predicting them by the end of the snippet ("feel" rhyming with real"). I hope there's a re-write before it goes on either album. Has it been decided/announced just whose album it's going on?

Apparently it's going on both their albums. Stevie liked the song so much, she wanted to include it on hers as well.

Oh dear. Could this be the That Made Me Stronger of the new album?! By that I mean nice music but bad lyrics.

I don't understand why people are saying "Bad Lyrics." These are great lyrics. They make sense and are heartfealt. Bad lyrics is chimpanzee lyrics in Jane or going out first or second person constantly, or pieced together snippets from various songs.

Dave said Stevie liked it so much that they recorded another version for her album.

TWO versions, two albums.

I love "Cheaper Than Free"!!!!

I will love it if there's another version. As I said, I think the sentiment is lovely and the arrangement is very nice so it has definite potential. It coukd be a work in progress that we heard anyway...

It seems like the snippet is the finished song on Dave's album.Sonically it does not seem to fit well with the production of "Secret Love" so another version for "In Your Dreams " would make sense.

You can hear one more verse of Dave's version at the 51:15 minute mark (toward the end) of Dave's episode of Music Business Radio here on our Progressive Rock station, Lightning 100 in Nashville.

I have to say...I don't like these lyrics at all.
Even though it's still not the complete song, I don't see how anything can save it. The lyrics are just too...trite and cliche! Boo.

Oh gross... I never wanted to hear Stevie sing the words "fast car" . Though Stevie's voice does sound great. Almost Insider-esque.

Well, I just heard more the song from that radio show and I really, really like the song. She needs a song like that on her album—a good, heartfealt love song.

I wish Stevie would record her own version of "You Like Me." She wrote it, and the Williams Brothers recorded and released it, along with their version of "Some Become Strangers." It's quite a rockin' song.

"Your eyes I see through...You like me, don't you?"
