Maybe I should have said 'a major effort to keep too thin'. I would bet he doesn't eat much while he's working on his music. He seems the type who won't stop (even to eat) until he gets a song right.

That sounds like me when I'm working. I get so engrossed that I don't eat, rest or sleep lol.

I like the way Stevie is holding his arm in that second picture. Mick's pose is funny too. Mick as John Wayne.

I thought Lindsey looked unhealthy during the Dance. Adding to that perception was the way his shirt never really fit properly the whole tour. It was like it was misbuttoned or something. I actually don't know what was going on under his jacket, but he looked sloppy and bloated. I'm glad it's over.

He seems extremely fit to me now. Maybe that's because he's so older than me and I get winded after The Chain, while he's on stage dripping sweat for two hours straight and never runs out of energy. Maybe that's why I've never seen his weight as being too slender, because his body seems so in tune.

I will say from the Les Paul video that I did get the impression he was a little breathless (some of you thought that was just emotion).

You getting winded from The Chain? Are you in a band? Do you get tired from listening to the song?

No, you're not. It's true that in the showbiz world people are under a lot of pressure to look good. Probably for Lindsey, that is partly the case as well as the fact that he most likely watches what he eats/exercises for health purposes as well. After all, his dad and brother both died at relatively young ages. He probably makes a conscious effort for his children and wife as well.

I think during The Dance he looked really young. I don't know if, at every angle, he met all of the other fan's expectations physically but to me he was handsome, suave, and pretty awesome. Granted, he was much thinner during SYW and also much more energetic and "little boyish."

I don't have many criticisms to his weight now. Lindsey is just a thin guy, period. I think his fashion sense is a little monotonous and uninspired, but that's on him. Also, I don't like his hair. It doesn't bug me at all that he's losing hair. But he could definitely do something about that part in the back that just sticks up. It makes the forehead even more pronounced...*sigh*

But when it comes down to it, he's a hot old man who makes incredibly FIERCE music. He gets nothing but love from me.

I mean when I'm at a concert and am dancing along to the opening songs.

Oh. Sometimes you get me a bit confused with your descriptions, like that you met Lindsey and he told yo the GOS thing but you heard it at a concert.

Now I gotta wonder: you get tired from dancing and Liddy can run around the stage like a madman for 2 hours straight

Some guys when they get older get heavier. Some guys when they get older get thinner. Lindsey does look gaunt, but perhaps that's just aging. Honestly, if he did put on some weight, he would look younger.

Doing stuff with his hair affects his age too. Take for example his Tusk haircut. I swear, in some of those pics he looked like he belonged in high school lol. Hell, he'd probably look younger if he brushed his hair foward to cover up his growing forehead a bit.

BTW, can someone here show me pics from the Dance where his shirt didn't look like it fit right or something?

Yeah, I get tired from dancing. That's why I think Lindsey is in great shape and healthy, no matter what his size. I think his stamina is amazing and I love the fact that he doesn't leave the stage. He only sits on the side during World Turning.

I never indicated I met Lindsey or that he told me anything. If I ever say they say anything it's either from the stage or an interview. The only thing he ever said to me directly was, "I like your t-shirt" and that was said at a concert too.

Sorry I just tend to get confused sometimes, so bear with me.

Anyways, you're right about his energy. It's crazy how he can run around like a madman and sweat his ass off for 2 hours straight. Speaking of sweating, is it true that he stopped wearing the Tusk suit cause it was ruined by him sweating too much?

I was looking through my pics for The Dance era. Most of them have LB dressed like this.

I only found 3 pics where he really didn't look so great.

He looks fine in the first one, he looks huge in the botoom 2 (did he really look that bad then?) and the second one makes me wanna poke my eyes out with a fork (I'm talking about Mick of all people showing that much skin lol)

Yeah, I agree with you re: Mick.

Aww, I love that tubby LB pic where he looks like Albert Brooks. Those hideous, lopsided glasses and his expression...and the little double chin! Awww, so cute.

But seriously, Lindsey even at his worse during The Dance period did not look like a huge morbidly obese specimen. He was just a bit rounder, but I personally think there's moments of true gorgeousness on that dvd. And I'm referring to Lindsey. He doesn't look very comfortable at his weight there, though. He definitely is meant to be thin.

Oh, I think there's just tons of gorgeousness in that DVD. I was so happy to see them together, I ddin't care about anything else. I was insane about that video. I remember watching it multiple times one day and said, "that's enough." So, I went out shopping and it was about 9:00 p.m. and I thought to myself, "If I get home really fast I can watch it one more time, before I go to sleep." It was an addiction. When he's looking at Christine and Stevie and they are looking at him, I wasn't thinking fat, I was thinking: swoon!

In fact, it was probably only after he lost the weight -- and I could see the noticeable weight loss as the tour came to an end -- it was then that I started thinking how much better he looked without it by comparison. I think it was only after the fact that I began to think how I didn't like his appearance. At the time, I was too giddy about the reunion to be very discerning. The complaining came later, but it always comes. There's nothing I won't complain about eventually!

Michele
