Thumbs up

Great news today- negative margins and only one lymph node effected (affected?). We are all thrilled and relieved beyond words. My mom is the strongest woman I know!

So can they remove the lymph node? With my Mom's pancreatic cancer, once it had spread to lymph nodes, there was nothing they could do(okay, there "could" have been REALLY long operation, called a Whipple Procedure[if memory serves], where they remove the pancreas, gall bladder, and a BUNCH of other stuff...but they first biopsy a lymph node, and if it's positive, they don't go through with the operation. They came out after about 30 minutes, and told us she'd be out of surgery, in a few minutes, so I[me, and my damned research] knew, that there was no hope. And sure enough, the doctor confirmed what I knew.

Maybe some lymph nodes can be removed, prior to it spreading to others?
Obviously, I hope so. I'm glad to hear she's so strong with this.

Edit - I just read the link. Awesome news!!!!

Agreed! I applied to UT back in September of 2008 and I didn't get my acceptance until April 2009. That was for sure the longest wait of my life.

eeh, John. For college I decided I was gonna be too far from texas, and too close to home. You see what I did there? I took a Stevie lyric. Pretty creative stuff... :P

So my laptop fell off the couch last night and froze so I shut down and now it won't turn on. It says insert boot disk. I don't even know what that is. This is fantastic. I just got it back from being fixed.

Good for you! I've got a DVD date, in about an hour. We're going nice and slow, this time(just a couple of dates a week), and it seems to be paying off.

I HAD thought I was too needy, and that two dates a week wouldn't be enough for me. I was wrong. I like the space.
