Tonight was the second time I've personally witnessed Jennifer Warnes get "escorted" out of a bar after a long night.
If I'm around to see a third, that means I get to record a duet with her, right? I think that's how it works. |

The voice control on my new iPod, whom I affectionately dubbed "My Little Demon", is hilarious. I tried conventional names to load my albums, and it worked only once or twice. I got frustrated and began to use curse words. "Poopy" and "Sh.it" both gained the result of Loneliness by Annie Lennox. Tosser recieved "now playing songs by Wham" (Don't judge. I had their Christmas song in my same named playlist). While this was playing, I attempted "Dip****" and got the responce of "his music is already playing". Juvenile of me, but I love my iPod's choices
Looks like we're going to get on very well indeed XD |

^^ That's amazing
I had the voice control on my phone and ended up pranking my mum when I'd meant to prank one of my hoes. Not cool but amazingly funny. |

My parents are separating and filing for divorce. Just found this out first thing this morning. Yaaaaaay. I'd appreciate anyone's insight on how this transition went for them.

I was a young kid when my parents split, so I can't give you any feedback on what it's like as an adult when this happens. But my dad may be going this route with his 2nd marriage soon, so in a way I'm possibly going to relive this as an adult. I won't lie, it's not going to be easy. Even if your parents are at the point where they are better off apart than together, there will be regret, anger, sadness, euphoria, relief and fighting over something stupid like who bought a pot holder, at any given time. By virtrue of being their child, an adult one at that, you'll probably bear witness to it all in some way, shape or form. Possibly from both sides at times, trying to get you to side with one over the other. Just know that they, along with you, are entering some unchartered territory and you'll all have to find your way through as best as you can. I encourage you to talk with someone, anyone, if and when you need to. Don't suppress anything you are feeling about it cause you are allowed to feel it too. Having said that, bear in mind that this is really about them and not you and they have to live with the choices they make and you do because you are their child. The one other thing I can say is that I hope they try as much as they can to keep their business (financials and stuff) between them away from you and any siblings (can't remember if you have any). Until my brother graduated college, my parents used my brother and I as pawns to communicate and fight, mostly about money and who should pay for what. It really got ugly at times and made my brother and I feel awful. I know my dad regrets that now. But hindsight is 20/20, right? Hopefully since you are older, you won't find yourself in this situation as much outside of school tuition and other incidentals. Ah...I'm probably not being very helpful to you at all. I'm sorry. Most of my advice is just reflecting back on the coulda woulda shoulda in my own experience. But if you at least took the time to read this, maybe something I said will resonate with you somewhere down the line. Here's the last thing I'll say for now. At the end of the day they are still your parents. They will always love you and have a place for you in their lives and you should give them the room to do that. You need to accept them as individuals, faults and mistakes and all and work at keeping up a relationship with both of them. From the very very little I know about you from reading your posts on the Ledge, I know that you haven't had the most storybook upbringing. You probably know it somewhere deep inside, but all those experiences you endured growing up have just made you stronger and really able to cope with that much more, including this impending split. You have the chutzpah to get through it. It will be a long road to get to a more comfortable place, but you will get there. Again, not sure my words are any wisdom, but I hope it helps...even if just for a moment. |

My parents are divorced and they have been for 5 years now. Feel free to PM me about anything anytime about it. It's not going to be easy, but I know it helps to have someone to talk to.

Has anyone heard this slang before, is it new or have any particular meaning?
"Bit*h- a*s". I was in Lord&Taylor, and a guy (black) maybe 30 said to me "Hey, Bit*h As*" and continued on. He was facing me- so I wonder, does this mean he thought I had a face like B*tch a*s, or seeing he had first walked from behind me, did he think my a*s looked like a woman's, and then faced me to tell me so, or does it have no particular meaning and is just a greeting someone says to strangers at L&T now and walks away? At the time, as I walked to my car, it made me laugh- then just now, I thought 'what was that?!' Last edited by Nikolaj; 01-22-2011 at 12:44 AM.. |

Unfortunately, as funny as it sounds - I have never heard it before. Maybe it's local slang or something. ![]()

I used to have a friend with whom me and her referred to each other as "bitch ass" but it was just a term or endearment for us Being that this guy was a total stranger, it seems very derogatory, but has no meaning to you specifically. He wasn't being intellectual with his snide term. He was just spewing whatever words came out of his mouth. He could have said, "**** ass" "dick wipe" "Ass Hat" etc..
