I love puzzles, be it cross-word or jigsaw (Which I have many of) they're all equally fun to me.

Debbie once found a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle that all the pieces were cut the exact way, thinking I wouldnt finish it in an afternoon - It made her feel like she wasted money when I finished it in about 3 hours.

I even have Sudoku on my cellphone, just so I can have something to do during my lunch break

I'm a little heavier than I was in my teens & 20s; my hairline is a little further back, and I've started developing some gray. Generally, tho, I've always looked really young for my age and that hasn't changed much.

Way less dramatic than in my teens & early 20s, and way less tolerant of drama from others. I trust my own experience more, and I'm not as mealy-mouthed; I'm not afraid to say "no" anymore. The older I get, the less tolerance I have for BS. Get to the point, and don't try to con or manipulate me, b/c I can see it coming a mile away and I don't take kindly to it.

Way more open & liberal about sexuality than I was in my teens and 20s.

I'm more comfortable with my introversion. I fought it for a long time and wondered why I was so socially awkward, but now I just embrace it. As I get older, I care less and less about "fitting in" and what other people think of me.

More mature in my spirituality, but I'm not sure how to be more specific than that. I've always approached spirituality from a "how can I get through life without going completely crazy?" angle, and that hasn't changed much. I've become more committed to my faith & religious practice.

Wow. It's 1 am, and I stumble onto this question from my dear friend. I can't help but to sit and ponder and answer.

In many ways, I'm still the same person. I've always had morals, values and personal boundaries, and don't care to waver from them for anyone. I hold my true friends in very high regard. I'm not dramatic. I've never "needed" a relationship or attention from men. I won't waste time on relationships that I know won't go anywhere. I won't put up with bull**** from anyone. I still love music as much as I always have. I'm still nocturnal... lol.

How I've grown. Wow... leaps and bounds. I'm more opinionated, and I'm not scared to speak up now. I'm not quite as afraid of what people think of me or my thought process, the way I look, the music I listen to. I've learned bigger isn't always better. I've learned how short life really is. I've learned to take more chances. I don't get screwed up on drinking and "smoking" like I used to.

Physically, haha, I used to have the perfect body. I swear to God, my measurements were 36' 26' 36'... That's so far from the truth now. In my 20's, when I gained all my weight, I was so self conscious about it. I guess in a way I still am, but I realize that even though I don't have that perfect body anymore, I'm still beautiful. I just had shoulder surgery Friday... haha, and it's from wear and tear, so things are starting to wear out! lol! I'm tired a lot, but I don't sleep either!

Spiritually, I never thought much about it as a kid, but now, I guess I'm more spiritual than religious. I believe in God, but not really a religion.

I could go on, but I won't. Things definitely change, that's for damn sure.

Two days of physical therapy, and who would've known I already have some motion back! Still stiff and painful, but moving in the right direction!

We haven't talked in a while. We should. I have exciting news!!! And yes, it was like we've known each other for years! I miss ya, homie!

My rotater(fkn spellcheck can't seem to find the proper spelling) cuff was screwed up, for over a year, but it FINALLY healed on it's own.
I shouldn't share the story, of how I acquired the injury, but I will(of course)....actually, there's an Everybody Loves Raymond, where they tumble out of bed, while making love. It's not just a fictional story! Although landing on your shoulder, on hardwood, when you're not expecting it, hurts like a mutha!!!!! I couldn't lift my right arm, above 9:00, for about a year. It finally healed itself.

lmao! I've had the same experience, however, it wasn't me falling out of the bed. hahaha! Right now I can't lift above 5:00, if hands to your sides was 6:00... it pretty much sucks. I finally cooked dinner for us tonight. Sara had to lift the bowl of veggies to the microwave for me though. And once I'm completely healed, I get to do the right shoulder! ugh!

Gee, Janet, thanks for the thread. Getting old sucks!

Great thread Jannie.

Physically - I am 15-20 pounds lighter now than I was when I was in my 20's, but more important than that - I am now fit & toned. I exercise most days of the week - cardio, light weights, yoga & pilates. I have better posture & flexibility. I am healthier in general - better dietary habits & a more balanced diet. I also drink much less - MUCH less. I still like beer & still overindulge on occasion, but instead of every weekend it's more like every few months. I dont' smoke anymore - well, I still take a puff if I've been drinking but again, it's every few months.

Emotionally/mentally - I have always had pretty good self-esteem but I feel much more confident now in my 30's. I still speak my mind, but I think before I speak. I am still opinionated but now I'm more willing to hear the other person out & agree to disagree. I have calmed my bad temper & am much more patient. I refuse to waste time in life getting into silly arguments & holding grudges against fam & friends. I am much less selfish & self-centered & I really try to make an effort to make those I love happy.

Spiritually- I have always believed in God, but never really bought into the whole Jesus thing (I was baptised Bulgarian Orthodox.). I feel (and have always felt) closest to God when I'm outside: camping, hiking, swimming. I see a beautiful landscape & think to myself "Oh, my,God IS great!" Someone (Carrie 721, acrtually) mentioned the Unitarian Universalist church to me a year or two ago & I've been attending services on & off ever since. I never knew there was a name for what I believed, an organized religion based on how I feel. It's pretty cool.

Emotionally? Still the same wreck of a man inside as I've always been

Spiritually... I've never wavered in that... although there has been a number of years where I was angry at God. Maybe it's cliched, but I do think as I've gotten older... it easier to step back and take a look at events in my life and know that ... there was no way I had control over them... that there was a divine purpose in some of it. There's no reason for me to be angry at God anymore, because I've had pretty much everything I want in life. I've been extremely blessed... so if I die tomorrow, I can't complain.
Thats cool
