I haven't been here the last 2 days and I've missed so much! I hate this feeling but sometimes life has to come before Stevie Nicks...

I hope the crystal ball makes a return appearance on this album cover. I wish FM and Stevie would have kept that tradition going and consistent with all their albums since 1975. I don't know why, but it always added just a little bit more mystique and intrigue to them.

Why is the LWTG remix so much better than the album version?

omg i so agree ....hell i want to know what Stevie thought was so wrong with the original SA versions coz many of them are significantly better than the "over produced" mess that is on my beloved album ![]()

Stevie's music can still move me to tears. My mom had her surgery today and as I was driving home from the hospital this evening I was listening to the CD sent to me from APerfectLie. Don't know when HAEWAFY was done, but it's stunning and made me cry.
Mom is doing great and we are all relieved that it's over for now. |

as I was driving home from work, "Beauty & the Beast" came on as I took the curve that straightens out on highway 9/62 at the place where Debbie passed from this existence...And yeah, it got me good.
Today, I kept hearing Stevie's voice on the radio in all parts of the warehouse, "Edge of Seventeen" back in freight, "Gypsy" up front at "Will-Call", "Rhiannon" back at "Truck Run" (Where I work).

Why does she sound so amazing in the the Storytellers version of Dreams and why can't she always sing it like that? It wasn't that long ago.

I think the concert setting is what throws her off - the electric instruments and the energy of the crowd. She gets worked up, out of breath and struggles to keep up with the speed and volume of the band. Stevie's live shows would be worlds better if she reverted to accoustic performances. They don't have to be small, but they should be unplugged. |

So my mom's been staying with me and of course I've been playing Stevie non-stop. I had 3 Birds playing on the computer and she told me to turn it off because she's sick of hearing Stevie. She then proceeded to say that what it boils down to is that she just doesn't like Stevie's voice all that much (in addition to saying she sounds "manly" a few days ago and bitching about me being on The Ledge too much). She only likes Stevie's voice on some of the songs
. Well that's heartbreaking! The person I love most doesn't like her voice! Apparently she likes something about her because she wants me to go to San Fran this summer so we can see the tour together. |

Since I worship my mother, and have a (probably unhealthy) tendency to adopt her opinions, I was kind of hesitant to like Stevie until a few years ago. I know, it sounds ridiculous. Fortunately, Mum's a very good sport, and has accepted her daughter's adoption of chiffonhead-ism quite well. Doesn't complain, even when I play Stevie straight for hours.

Sorry, this made me laugh. This is why I, and suspect others come to the Ledge. To unabashedly geek out and discourse on Stevie till our wild hearts are full. Then we come back because our fever has gone higher....and what can you do? You come back to the sea.... cause we are hopelessly enchanted. That's where I needed you (The Ledge)...Where I needed you most.![]() |
