I've long since passed by the titilation & anticipation of new albums (yeah, cynical ol' me), but, since these folks already have albums either out or "coming soon", my interest is piqued:

Gregg Allman
Stevie Nicks
Lindsey Buckingham

I have no idea if these next folks are releasing albums this year, but, if they do, I'll be getting them:

Leon Russell (with the response to his duet album with Elton, he should probably follow up with an album of his own)

Steve Winwood (his last one was great, 2+ years is about time for another)

Paul McCartney

Stevie and Lindsey's, of course... but also a potential new Florence + The Machine album. It'll be near impossible to top "Lungs." And Gaga!

Really excited for Lindsey's and looking forward to Stevie's as well.

The new R.E.M. album, Collapse Into Now, though it'll be tough for them to beat Accelerate.

Matt Nathanson should have a new album out this year, psyched for that
Marc Broussard
fun.
Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers (they're recording now, so hopefully it will be out this year!)
Needtobreathe
Getting eager about Patrick Stump's solo album

Stevie, Lindsey and Blondie's new albums are the only ones I know of right now hmm. I'm not a huge Lady Gaga fan but I'm looking forward to listening to something new by her, I did like the Fame Monster though.

I'm looking forward the most to a prospective Kate Bush album/EP. It'll be her first release in six years (I don't count "Lyra" because it was awful!). I'm also looking forward to Blondie's album, Fiona Apple, I'm pretty sure I heard Peter Gabriel was making a new album too.

Seriously? That could be a good or bad thing. He's a great artist, but I don't think that his fans would tolerate another cover album. Especially if he tries to create another dire rendition of a Regina Spektor song. Honestly, who told him covering Apres Moi would be a good idea? Clearly that person had to buy a dictionary just to look up "music" in it...

Haha yeah it is classic Roxette... the lead single "She's Got Nothing On (But The Radio)" is also a typical Per Gessle track with a very catchy chorus. The artwork for the single also reminds me of "Look Sharp".

I believe it's supposed to be released abroad February 11, but naturally not here in the US, so I'm going to have to order it somewhere online. I keep hoping they'll be able to get it released here at some point, but that never did happen with their last two studio albums.

If you're interested, a good place to check out the latest news and info. about Roxette is here:

EDIT:
I just checked your profile and see that you're in the UK... you'll be glad to know it is supposed to be released there sometime in the spring, along with the first single. The European release date is actually Feb. 14th! =)

I've got no idea if it's a cover album or not. I hope it's original material, because when Peter's at the top of his game he's amazing. I'm also looking forward to Amy Winehouse's - it's been too long since she was in the papers for her excellent music as opposed to her antics.

Yup - I checked on this last night! Not sold on the new single yet but I'll give the album a go. I'm waiting for UK tour dates!! I'd go and see them in Berlin, as I want to go there at some point this year anyway, but that date clashes with a friends wedding.

I do like Matt Nathanson but there's been one song of his that I'm looking for and don;t know which album it's on. Come On Get Higher. I love it - what album can I find it on?

Come On Get Higher is on his album Some Mad Hope.
I also recommend getting his album "Beneath These Fireworks" and his live album "At The Point". All three are really amazing. You will not be disappointed.

Also, I said earlier that I can't wait for the new Augustana album. It now officially has a release date and the single "Steal Your Heart" comes out Feb 14! Loving it already!

New Radiohead album, The King of Limbs, is available on their site.

First impression... slow start, but the last half of the album, especially the last track, "Separator" is great. Other standouts for me are "Lotus Flower" and "Give Up the Ghost."
