I always hated to watch Luis' death scene. I was surprised at first. I figured he'd make it through the whole game!!

Yeah, shed a manly tear when he fell victim to Saddler's monster wang.

Funny thing I've noticed about that game though - if Ashley dies Leon says "ohhh nooo..." really unenthusiastically but when Mike the helicopter pilot dies he screams "MIIIIIIIIKE!!" and swears revenge

Thanks! And yeah, it is lucky - I've spent YEARS working towards getting paid for writing something I actually want to write, so it's nice to be able to do that finally. And it gives me a solid base to work from when I go after bigger stuff later.

And I love Leon and his stupid haircut, so it was either him in the MK fight or the pirate merchant guy, and I couldn't make the pirate guy look right when I was cobbling the images together, sad panda. I'd like to see Ashley get smacked around a bit myself, though - she drives me nuts.

Thank you! I'm not used to being told "dry" is a good thing, but I will roll with it.

All the same, baby. All the same.

Well, keeping Ashley alive was basically his 'job'. It wasn't personal. I assume Mike was at least a colleague.

The Merchant would have been great, as well! By the way, my 8 year old son wants Leon's stupid haircut!

It's not a matter of pleasure as it is necessity. My grades weren't up to scratch for my latest work so if I have to cut out sleep to bring them up again, by Buddha I'm gonna do it.

Each time I hear Go Your Own Way I fall in love again. I know it's a cliche song to love, but it's just breathtakingly exquisite. Why is it that Lindsey has such power to stop me in my tracks with his music, yet he's so underappreciated as an artist? Maybe he'll go the way of Van Gogh and only become truly appreciated after he dies? Please don't let that happen and don't let him die. I want to hang out with him and learn from him

But the reason I haven't been here in a while is because yay, I got a new contract. It doesn't pay a boatload (or even half a boatload), but every little bit counts - and I'm actually having fun with work for the first time in a VERY long time. Because I get to blog about video games every day! YAY!

Anyway, I made a post today that I thought y'all might smile at, even if you're not a gamer, 'cos I managed to sneak Stevie into it. I'm crafty like that. Scroll all the way down on this post to see what I mean.

And if any of you ARE gamers (or are just interested in my writing?), maybe you can poke around the site more and tell me what you think? I've spent such a long time writing things for other people, using their voice, that it's difficult getting back in the swing of writing in my own style. I've only been writing for this guy for about a month now, and it was sitting dormant for a while before I picked up where they left off, so it's not super busy there yet or anything, but still. I'm pleased.

Annie,
I don't understand a thing about gaming...nope, not a thing. I do like your writing though so I checked it out. Always love a Stevie reference and I like the funny you made about being a boy scout without the boy part. That made me laugh a little.

For my first attempt at making boot covers for a costume, I was hoping for something simple. Instead, I got landed with these monstrosities:

Oh help

Edit: Oh dear, that looks bad -- not an S&M costume, despite the hooker boots, I promise!
