I sorta agree as far as radio singles go. Rooms on Fire is another one of Stevie's songs in A minor. It comes off a bit moody and slow buiding. This song leaps off the speakers in a happy friendly way like Talk To Me. TISL singles (POTU & Everyday) were good, but a bit muddy sounding, thats why I always thought they should have released Love Changes off TISL 1st.

I talked to that WB Sarah... and she said she just got confirmation that the downloads that didn't go out should go out now...

Got mine:

Dear Stevie Nicks Fan,

Thank you for pre-ordering Stevie’s new CD, “ In Your Dreams” which is being released on May 3, 2011. As you know, your pre-order included a free download of Stevie’s first single, “Secret Love”. Unfortunately due to a mechanical glitch, the link for the free track was not included in your Order Confirmation email.

We are sending you the link for the new single now. Please accept our sincere apologies in the delay in receiving the track.

Click here to download "Secret Love".

The cost of “In Your Dreams” is $12.99. At the time you placed your order, the CD went into your cart at $13.99. Since you are not billed until your CD actually ships, we will credit you $1 once you have been billed.

Regards,

The ending we are hearing on the 3:16 version of the song is a cut off .It goes on for about another minute which is actually one of the best parts of the song.

My opinion of the song is improving. I still don't see it as a supersingle, but I think it's classy, and some of the things I didn't like at first seem more ok to my ears now.
Maybe I'm getting over the initial shock -the demo vs this version, and I can appreciate this one as a fresh new song.
The subtle arrangements (Dave's I suppose) are growing on me also.
This will be a very interesting album to listen.

I am getting some sort of Wilson-Phillips vibe from it--the song "Hold On" somehow. Partially the harmonizing, I think.

THis is hard to get used to after listening to the old piano demo for so many years. I will keep trying. The "ooooh-eeeee's" are bugging me.

Could be because Glen Ballard co-produced Stevie's new record. He produced and arranged Wilson Phillips records.

I adore Stevie. I just get so annoyed when she doesn't live up to her full potential.

I think you might just be right. And this is after I've listened to the full song quite a few times now... this isn't just an emotional first-listen response. The sound is so fresh yet textbooks Nicks, and Stevie's vocals are probably better than anything she's recorded since the '80s. I'm just so very proud of her and Dave .

But back to the positive - I know the cold ending seems abrupt, but I like it. I think it's dramatic.
i love the "cold" ending. great word. def abrupt
it perfectly fits a kinda dark song that it otherwise "upbeat" lol
