Default Lousy Lyric Layout

Lousy lyric layout...my apologies for the unintended alliteration...
But anyone noticed how unnecessarily awkward the lyric pages are for the Say You Will album?

Perhaps it's my graphic design/writing background, but the layouts defy logic and add confusion...and make me wonder why there was no quality control to fix it. That is, assuming it was an unintended slip-up, because I can't imagine the reasons for it!

I'll just take the first song as an example:

What's the world coming to what's
the world coming to
Everyone's gone to the moon what's
the world coming to

eeh!!

Why not simply...

What's the world coming to
What's the world coming to
Everyone's gone to the moon
What's the world coming to

Was Chris Nicks in charge of the lyric layouts??? lol

I know! It's really annoying. Just as well I really have little reason to actually read the lyrics. Meanwhile, it's much less annoying than the Tusk CD lyrics fiasco. I'm surprised they didn't call it Musk.

Can you explain the Chris Nicks reference? I know who he is but that's about it.

LMAO!

ooh, DownOnRodeo, Chris Nicks was the one who was in charge of the Street Angel booklet layout. It the absolute worst thing I have ever seen, so unprofessional looking. That's actually one of the reasons why I hate Street Angel!

Chris Nicks certainly is popular nowadays on this board, Miss Molly! The schmuck. I can't stand the evil bastid.

That answers a long standing query...like how the whole thing slipped through quality control...it looked like he literally cut and paste it - ie with scissors and glue!

Bad layout these days is unforgiveable, anyone with 5 minutes computer knowledge can set tabs...even me!

Lest not forget another one of Chris's masterworks of graphic ineptness....the tour book for Stevie's Trouble In Shangrila. A bunch of high school year book committee members could have done a better job. Bad photo editing, bad text placement....all sophmoric and embarassing!

I loved the TISL tourbook personally. I got mine signed by everyone minus Stevie on the last night of the TISL tour in LA. But now Im curious cause maybe in my star-struck-ness I overlooked graphic ineptness LOLOL! Im going to relook tonight I think! That "cut paste" look may have been some kind of trend (not that its wonderful) he was trying to mimic.

It's just that Jonathan Toad or Fraud as we've taken to calling him now makes Christopher look like the Dalai Lama.

The photos were as dark as the rehearsal photos on the "official site." I was really disappointed, as some of the others were so beautiful.

lol...I'd love my tour program more if the band signed it!

If you objectively examine the TISL tour book, there are very few decent pictures of Stevie! The first page, in all in its muted purple fuzziness and amatuer type treatment is unforgivable! Chris Nicks has been "designing" (i.e. butchering) her tour books at least since Rock A Little. And her fans have suffered for it. Such piss-poor, unprofessional designs and layouts.

Don't think so? Compare her tour books to those of artists equal to or much lesser than Stevie. I have hundreds of them. All them have some continuity, some integrity, visual appeal, creativity and inspiration that Stevie's tour books severely lack. Oh, such a hack, is he.

This serves as a lesson which Stevie should have heeded. Don't hire relatives!!
