[QUOTE=MissLadyLoki;933640]I know whatcha mean. I've seen the Bass Hall thingy and he looks so sad throughout, but when I saw the Mac on Unleashed, he was a madman. As much as he says it, I bet he still enjoys being with the Mac

The husband got me the Bass Performance Hall DVD and the CD with Little Big Town as stocking fillers for Christmas as they were the only things missing from my Bucky collection so I've just watched the Bass DVD again for the 4th time!

Anyhow, I agree, he does not look a happy bunny throughout that show and even when he's doing the more upbeat stuff it looks quite forced.

And going back to him keep on saying "this is the best time of my life", who is he trying to convince - us or himself? Sometimes folk repeat things a lot to try and make them true.

If, as Holidayroad suggests, Bucky is striving for perfection he's never going to be completely happy because perfect he ain't and he does get things wrong and I still love him to distraction anyway!

He's at a time in his life to be old enough but still young enough to say "sod it" and just enjoy himself - especially with FM!

Good grief, I've just read what I'm about to post and hope I don't sound too much of an opinionated git!

Everyone's opinion is valid here at The Ledge!

Because in alot of interviews and in the Bass Hall documentary, he seems really down about its direction. I hope it's not down to his family because he seems happy with them.

He seems to stay pretty thin in recent years. I thought his size during Mirage/ Go Insane era was good.....not super thin, not heavy either.

Although his kids are obviously a joy to him, it must still be a bit of a shock to the system to get to almost 50 years old before your first one comes along and then to have 3 young kids when you're in your 60's!

I may not be remembering this correctly (I'll have to watch it again) but I think in his interview with Dave Fanning he said that he's in a bit of a "push pull" situation in balancing things between career and family.

I just hope he's not made to feel guilty about the time he must spend on non-family things - I would think he'd be well depressed if his studio time etc was curtailed!

Thanks everyone for all the recent great photos. I haven't submitted a single one yet as any I have already appear on here. I did some colour pencil drawings of Bucky (and some of David Bowie and Bryan Ferry) many years ago and I thought I might post a couple as my friends thought they were really good but I've searched and they are long gone! I don't by any means call myself a great artist but I did used to have a knack for pencil drawings - perhaps I'll do a few of Bucky at his current age and post them if I can pluck up the courage!!!!!

Yes, do it! I'd love to see your art.

As for not posting photos, don't feel guilty. When holidayroad's away, I post pics from the F Yeah Lindsey Buckingham Tumblr and her Photobucket, so I'm not exactly original (but I do put captions to 'em)

Maybe he worries about not being there for his children in the future. If I had children at his age, that would be on my mind.

You should do some more drawings and post them! Bee (Silver Springs) has done some Amazing drawings of Lindsey. It's been so nice of her to share them!

Well it looks like I'm off to buy sketch pad, pencils etc and to put in hours of practice first - it's been years and I'm certainly rusty!

Also where can I see Bee's? You won't see mine for dust if they are put to shame by Bee's! Still, I am feeling inspired and will have a go!

Also, while you're at it Viv, can we have a drawing of Tusk era Bucky? That's probably my fave era

Yes, I can understand that. Me and the husband never wanted children as we didn't want any responsibility and the six nieces and nephews we've got have always sufficed! Because of our decision we have been lucky enough to have travelled the world extensively (and intend to keep on doing so). In any case, although I adore babies, the thought of having to cope with young children and then teenagers (who are a species all their own) horrifies the pants of me! So having the worry of them when you're Bucky's age doesn't bear thinking about!

Even though Bucky has young kids in his 60's, I still imagine his daughters being the ultimate daddy's girls and him being the ultimate pushover.

That aside, did you ever see the tennis pics from September? I swear, his son looked so much like him it was creepy
