Damn ... Ellen was standing and clapping and I held my breath for 15 seconds just to see Ricky flipping Jervais.

Run and make your cup of tea now, folks, she won't be on for another while yet!

PS: I'm glad there's no sound, actually ... it gives us something to look forward to tomorrow! We may as well squeeze as much excitement out of this as possible!

So Rod was first to tape - now Ricky G. is on - so I guess they'll be switching out gear for SN's band - we'll probably see them in cam 4 shortly....

I'm on Cam 2, Pattie, it shows still images of the stage at 15-second intervals. Cam 4 shows a live video of the backstage corridor.

And BTW - I'm sitting backstage somewhere else waiting for someone else to show up for rehearsals - the crew I'm working with right now is making fun of me guessing what's up with all this.... and note to self -- if I go to the Ellen Show - sit stage right/audience left....

I hope she doesn't perform "Stand Back" once again; that would be a really sad thing - the perpetual redundancy.

Granted, the song is a given crowd pleaser because it's peppy and people can groove and dance to it. It's become her default crutch. But it's so over-done, like a broken record where the needle can't move forward.

Stevie, have you ever thought of writing a new song that has a similar vibe/energy?
