I think that's sort of Dave's job at this point, is to be vague and not give out too much concrete info right now. This is Stevie's baby, and while he is the producer, he's not in the position to give us concrete information. On the other hand, this could be viewed as partially Dave's baby too. I can see why he would not want to give out too much now. There will be a time and a place for all of that. Steven Spielberg doesn't go around talking about his movies months before the promo period starts.

Wild, on the other hand...that is his job: to listen to what he's been given, and react to it.

I think we're all just really, really, really excited about this and want every last bit of info we can...as hard as it's been...we must be patient! :-)

I'm still going to dream that she'll debut the first single tomorrow. I know that's unlikely but a girl can dream, damnit!

Dream hard I'm hoping for this too! If the release date and album title are solid, there's every chance we could see this. And if they're really going to show off the artwork, it doesn't make any sense to not perform it.

So are we to infer that this song/album recalls Tom Petty's solo record "Full Moon Fever", produced by Jeff Lynne. Which includes the great "Free Falling", "I Wont Back Down", "Running Down A Dream", And my personal favorite atmospheric dirge "A Face In The Crowd". Come to think of it there are subtle similarities in Jeff Lynne production esthetic and Dave Stewarts.

Back in the Spring of 89' upon hearing Tom's Full Moon Fever, I was stewing with envy that Stevie's OSOTM record was not produced by Jeff Lynne and sound as sonically equivalent and beautifully produced & arranged as Tom's record.
Christopher, I'm thinking along the same lines and suspect "In Your Dreams" will have an acoustic pop/rock sensibility, similar to that of "I Won't Back Down". I don't necessarily think it will be indicative of the whole album because I sense the songwriting and production will be quite eclectic and varied (as most Eurythmics albums were).

Of more interest to me though was that you singled out my favourite track from the "Full Moon Fever" album, the magnificent "A Face In The Crowd". From the moment I first heard it, I wanted to Stevie to record it. I was glad when she eventually covered "Free Falling" but I think the former song would have been a perfect fit for her.

Whilst I actually do really like "The Other Side Of The Mirror" album, I concur that a production similar to Jeff Lynne's on "Full Moon Fever" may have been more sympathetic to Stevie's songs.

Oh and good line David - most amusing!

For those saying what it means, in a rephrase

"It may not be the single cover image I photographed (shot) on Ellen"

So the photo he took for the single might not be shown.

So do you think that means some kind of photo will still be shown?

I'm not sure! I think he's waiting to find out if they are going to use it or not.
