It could be more stylised as a performance piece, but it seems like a natural and interesting way for him to pass on his accumulated knowledge. Though I think others will have to do the grunt work with the chords as he doesn't know them, does he lol.

Heck, he looks like a serial killer on GOS too. What can I say?

I've decided I hate that GOS picture. I guess my feelings at first were that it was raw, honest, and he was brave enough not to be "pretty" in a headshot for an album cover. But now it just annoys me. When I see the original artsy GOS cover I can't help but feel that, creatively, he wasn't too motivated with that picture. And I actually prefer the picture he took of himself for Under the Skin because there's a meditative sereneness to him I like. And he looks hot. On GOS he looks gaunt, tired, like a shell of a man. It kind of depresses me.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it. Anyway, I always forget who took that picture but whoever the photographer was (LB, Kristen, some other dude, etc.): that picture and the font are just SO unappealing and lackluster to me. They do not represent the gorgeous beauty of the music within, and I'm afraid to say some people I know avoided hearing the awesomeness of this album due to how scary Lindsey looked on the cover. Superficiality aside, he could have done a LOT better than that.

And now I'll get off my GOS cover-bashing soapbox.

I wouldn't be able to tell one studio from another!

By the way Cassie - did you join in with other New Yorkers the other day when they all went pant-less on the subway? Would have thought it'd be way too cold in NY this time of year for all that malarkey!

*Sigh* Why can't I BE that lady touching Lindsey's guitar. This is how I play guitar hero, in this exact stance. Channeling my inner Lindsey...

Yeah, just thinking the same thing, she is a lucky so-and-so. Actually, I'd rather be touching HIM than his guitar!

I know what you mean. I wish I'd carried on my Celebrity goosing trend with Lindsey when I went to see their show too. Would have been wonderful to say that I groped Michael Stipe AND Lindsey Buckingham haha.

Nope, and with very good reason: I say I live in NYC cause it sounds a bit more generic. In reality, I live about an hour away on Long Islandand around here, learning how to drive is a must, even if it means getting stuck with a nasty troll for driver's ed.

Kathryn isn't just the only one enjoying these and, like Bee said, I'd love to have groped Bucky, but preferrably in the front...

You've hit the nail on the head. The UTS cover was serene and perfectly suited the style of the album -- not that it was chilled-out or sleepy, but careful, smooth and very polished. GOS was a rock and roll album and deserved a rock and roll cover.
