Default UGH! The Mick vest is back!!!

Mick mentions that during "World Turning" he WILL be "beating himself up"...most likely with the various percussions sounds he accesses under his vest...i thought it was cool back in 1987 when he did that but i'm over it....i think that's going to be the song i need to run and grab a beer...i wish he would stick to something more old fashioned like the old african talking drum he used to play during the solo.

here's the link to the interview in case you haven't heard it:

I think the vest should be part of an interactive portion of the show. Audience members should get to beat him in the vest. I'd use a stick labeled "AND THIS IS FOR THE FAN CLUB!"
Actually, if this would make him money, he'd have three drum solos each night.

I hope that there are just sounds this time around, if he's gonna do that. I got to sit up front and see the vest up close,in its day. Everytime he hit his left hip, it said "O God". Right hip was "Help Me". That's pretty much what I was thinking, as well, watching it.

I'm a traditionalist. I miss World Turning and the drum solo/bongo thing.... (heavy sigh).

Well Mick if you are reading the messages on this board from real genuine fans you will have gotten the message that we really don´t care for the drumvest and that we hate to see a drum solo being performed (one or two minutes okay, but for god´s sake no ten to twenty minute mindnumbing solo!! What a waste of precious song time in which songs like Sara, Fireflies, Storms and Frozen Love could be performed instead!!

So my advice would be: drop the vest and the solo and add the aforementioned songs instead!

Do I really have to watch Mick re-enact with his vest how much he likes to do "The Rattlesnake Shake" for 10 min?!!!!!!!!

I forgot about that. Didn't it scream whenever he hit the crotch area? Weren't there also car noises? I guess it's a fun thing if you've never seen it before. But yes, I could live without the twenty minute version.

Well, this means I am guaranteed a long and relaxed trip to the men's room, the beer stand, and maybe even a sneak outside for a cigarette. Hell with that solo. even the women can navigate through the epic lines to their rest room and make it back in time.

That's what I'll do as well, get another glass of something and pee ( I usually just hop to the men's room..no shame at all)

Im there for Lindsey and Stevie..their songs...not the vest. For the Dance tour, didn't it come up after NTF? Lindsey fell to the ground and then he started???
