From where I lived just above Cincinnati, it is roughly a 16 hour drive to and from Florida each way. I haven't flown since I was a kid and prefer staying on the ground but if an emergency arose I wouldn't hesitate taking a plane out. It's not so much a fear of them, cause I'd love to fly in a small plane locally over Florida and the islands or even down to the Keys at some point, and even parasail sometime, it looks so much fun! But I think being on a commercial flight 4 or 5 hours going home to (Ohio) is what I'd dread. But if something happened and I had to be up there fast, I'd fly in a second. I love aerial views of the state of Florida though. So pretty!

I don't know what I should get for a new laptop once I have enough money saved up. I absolutely hate my mother's Toshiba, I'm not very fond of my Dell Desktop, & please don't say a Mac, because I can't see myself going down the route.

Any suggestions? I really don't know what would be the most reliable. My Step-Dad's HP seems to work really good... but it hardly has any programs on it.

You, my child, need an Acer. Acer is my go-to for laptops, because they are moderately priced but hard-working, and they usually don't use proprietary components - so if one thing breaks, you can replace it easily and less-expensively than you would be able to do with, say, a Gateway or Dell.

Oh, and make sure it has an AMD processor in it, not an Intel. AMD chips are also moderately priced and hard-working. I personally won't buy a laptop that doesn't have an AMD chip in it, and when I build a desktop, I only use AMD chips.

I'm suddenly blanking on where you live, but I always buy my laptops, the parts to fix my laptops, and the parts for the desktops I build from either www.tigerdirect.com or www.newegg.com - if you are in the States, you'll be able to get a sweet deal, and they both have excellent customer service and tech support, but I am not sure how good-deal they are for folks not in the States.

ETA: After posting, I saw you're in Cananananada, oops. But check those sites anyway - even if you can't get a really good deal, you can use them for research, as they both have extensive inventories and customer reviews.

I agree with everything Annie has said about Acer. My chemistry teacher in high school was a computer genius and would never ever buy anything other than Acer laptops.

I had a Toshiba for about 3 years and no word of a lie, I ran that thing for at least 15 hours a day for those 3 years. It died about 3 weeks ago now because I'd abused it I went for a Dell inspiron and I've not regretted it yet. Except for it being pink. I regret that.

Haha. Well post it there then. People don't censor themselves about their feelings there. Because they're not to be censored. They're to be embraced. Despite the fact that I'm as straight as a ruler, I still fancy the ass off of Sarah McLachlan and I don't mind saying so.

hehe. Well whatever you feel comfortable with. Although the TMI thread is enough to make Bernard Manning blush at times

I've never wanted to headbutt a Bird more than I do the Pee Wee Herman style creature in the Buttercup Syrup advert. Jtis.

That white pair are plastic and lace up the front. I look like a baby prostitute in them if they're not covered up.

ROFL too funny... but I see then I think it's all personal preference really how and in what era we wear our Stevie boots

Mine are really ABBA boots but I know what you mean. My grey suede ones (which look more like Christine's than Stevie's) sit like your black ones.

I had my first few pairs made in the black, because they go so well with about anything Stevie, but I think I'll have the red burgundy made this year, then I'll have all my boots complete in the red, black, and tan. I put off buying more stuff for awhile now because I don't wear enough what I have now already.
