I like the Sometimes It's A Bitch video too! She looks beautiful, if a tad "Glamour Shots", and the retrospective clips are nice. It was the lead single for a retrospective and using them fit the general theme of the lyrics and of Timespace itself.

Still not crazy about the song, though I do appreciate the opening riff's attempt at recalling the sonics of "Edge Of Seventeen" and "Stand Back".

My bitch about "Sometimes it's a Bitch.": It's a such a lazy hack job of old footage, as if to say "This is just an after thought-- we really didn't want to invest any effort or money in this video, because, quite frankly, we don't care much about the song."

My trouble with 'Whole Lotta Trouble": It had the potential to be a good song, but Stevie's weak lyrics don't even come close to fufilling the concept. The live performance drives that point home. What the hell was her issue in not singing the "second, minute, moment" properly? She was stuck on "second" mode.

Mine is the majority vote: Whole Lotta Fcking Trouble."

I don't understand all the hate for the SIAB video. I already can tell it's gonna be the next video to go because I seem to be the only one who likes it.

Every single clip they show matches every single word she sings. I love all the clip footage shown. Up to that point in time, all that rare footage was completely new to us.

That is a very well written song.

It should have been a hit. But how could it have been when Stevie herself bashed it in the press at that time? She influenced her fans to dis-regard it. Not this fan though.

I despise the Civil War video for "Stand Back" and it gets my vote happily. Nonsensical rubbish. Just because it's 1983 doesn't mean it's good. Like Doug said, the video was conceived with "If Anyone Falls" in mind as the original first single. Forcing it to "Stand Back" is horrible.

Stevie's limp hair, Sharon & Lori chasing the chickens, Stevie clutching the bed post... >shudder<

Although it is cool to see Stevie ordering a shot at the bar.

BTW, someone talked about film quality and no upgrades? That Civil War video on Crystal Visions looks no better than my VHS bootleg I got in 1994. Where's the upgrade?

I love the "Sometimes It's A Bitch" video! Especially the Japanese edit, which has extra new footage not shown in the US version. Fantastic!

Post Everyday

Well, I'm gonna go with something different and say : Everyday video. I don't hate it but to me its a boring song. One that Stevie didn't write. A boring video really. I think Sorcerer is better than Everyday. I don't mind SIAB video. Like MikeB said I love the Japan version with the extra clip of Stevie with the fan (now why wasn't this also on Crystal Visions as well? This version. I also agree with Mike about the Scarlett version on CV not great quality.) You would think they'd give us the best copy around. Doesn't make sense really does it?? I do like what Stevie wears in the WLT video esp the Top coat with tails and the Top Hat and her boots. Hate the belt very very large belt in the video. I like the skirt too. I don't like it that she changed the words either but I do recall her stating in interviews around that time that she had written many different versions to WLT with different words but Mike Campbell said she had to go back to the 'original' version when they recorded the demo for it. So she must of used the words to the other versions or something?? I don't know. That would probably be my 2nd not liked video but I'm still sticking with Everyday for mine even if I'm the only person--thats OK.

I'm sure to anger everyone with my vote for "Rooms on Fire". I hate this video.

By the way, why was "If You Ever Did Believe" left off the list?

I never knew a video for Whole Lotta Trouble existed... I just youtubed it, and it's vile. It gets my vote.

I think Every Day is my favourite Stevie video, it's so arty. I love her hair when she's in the white dress too, it makes her look younger and it suits her much more than the normal do, which doesn't really... do anything, her hair is just there.

I could not agree more. Always loved the song and the video. It makes me sad that Stevie didn't write it because I feel it is such an amazing song and had she written it, her fans would adore it. I also love all the rare clips in the video. Some of which I still haven't seen outside of the video.

My vote goes to the scarlett version of Stand Back. The only good thing about this video is Stevie's commentary that went along with it in Crystal Visions. The video is not only ridiculous, it doesn't match the song at all! Stand Back was very very energetic and very 80s, and here is this lame ass video set in the Civil War. No wonder they all hated it.
