I am actually speechless about my Secret Santa gift. I will elaborate more later (SO tired right now) but I am in shock at such a beautiful gift- thank you.

Okay first of all, a CD with some really wonderful live performances- what's odd is that they're pretty much all of my favorites on one CD and one or two I haven't heard (I have no idea which Rhiannon this is, but whoah).

Then, an incredible DVD of Stevie's show in Landover, 1983. HEAVEN. I have actually only seen a few of these and not with such great quality.

Finally (and really, this made me cry), a BOOK of Stevie's work. My Secret Santa had ALL of Stevie's songs and poems put into a hard cover book, in alphabetical order. I simply can't even describe how stunning it is. My mother was with me when I opened the package, and she kept saying, "Oh my goodness, how lovely!"

I don't even know how to say thank you for such a thoughtful and beautiful gift. My SS chose to stay secret but I'm pretty sure I know who you are. Thank you.

I'm glad it made it in time! I was worried since I sent it off so late. Glad you like it

Holy bejesus, he sent you the Tango pop-up? I remember missing out on one of those on eBay a couple of years ago and haven't seen one since. That is AWESOME.

Dude, you rock. And not just a little.

******

Official Note - I know a couple of people are still waiting on delivery, so I'm going to ask anyone that hasn't received their gifts to sit tight for a few more days, and then we'll reassess to see where everyone is.

But thank you SO much to everyone that participated. You have no idea how happy it's made me that this has gone so well, and everyone's gifts have been so lovely and thoughtful.

I'd like to keep doing things like this, if you guys would like to keep participating. It won't always be an actual gift exchange - I've mentioned before I'd really like to do a card exchange for Valentine's Day, for example - and I think it's a fun thing to do, but more importantly, it gives each of us a tangible way to connect with other fans. Sounds cheesy, I know, but whatever: so many of us love this band so much, and it's a huge part of our identities, but it's rare for many of us to have actual contact with other people that actually understand...especially some of our younger members that didn't get to experience the Mac in their heyday, didn't get to go to that awesome show on the Tusk tour, wasn't there to pick up a copy of Mirage or Tango when it came out, and have to spend all day with peers that don't "get it," etc. We can all come here and chit-chat and that's a wonderful thing, but we don't always have someone to physically hang out with. I feel like this is a good way to make the fandom a little more physical.

Of course, I'd really love to one day organize a fan con so we can all hang out and bang on tambourines and squawk over Stevie & Lindsey glaring at each other while we watch concerts on a ginormous TV and re-enact that fateful evening Lindsey kicked Stevie in the ass on stage so we'll have the next best thing to actual video of the event and have a Mick Fleetwood Scary Face Impersonation Contest and whatnot, but until then, this is pretty good, too.

All the same, baby. All the same.

"You never know what I'll do. I've resequenced my show. I'm a master at sequencing. I'm the one who sequenced for Fleetwood Mac. I sequenced 'Rumours.' Everyone loves my sequences. They're fun.''

Today I got a lovely surprise from my California-residing secret santa. No name on it, so thank you "secret santa!"

I got some wonderfully Stevie Nag Champa, but best of all, I got a hand-made necklace with a beautiful Stevie charm. The picture is lovely, and I really love the way the bail that attaches it to the chain is so pretty. My daughter has taken it over and is wearing it at the moment, and she keeps asking if I gave it to her for keeps, and I keep saying No.

So THANK YOU!!

I almost don't want to write in it coz it's so gorgeous, but I will! I'll probably use it for poetry

Here is my fab personalised notebook made by Kathryn:

Inside - bottom right corner says 'The Ledge Xmas 2010'

Thank you so much again, I hope you have a wonderful christmas xxx
That goes for the rest of you Ledgies too!

P.S. I'm getting a bit worried about my gift.. It should have been delivered by now! Here's hoping the post has just been slow due to the snow..
I'm so glad you liked it, Sian! The fact that it'll be used for poetry is the highest compliment Happy Christmas!

And as for Vivfox's gift to Danielle -- wow. Just wow. A treasure trove!

It was hard to part with that.
How much was it selling for?

I'm curious now, too! My step-grandfather used to work for warner brothers, and gave me the tango pop up. He's the one in the group picture I posted a while back with Stevie backstage at the philly wild heart show.
