I'm starting to get really concerned that no official marketing has begun for this project. There's nothing on Warner Bros/Reprise website. Nor is there a release date on her official website, though that's a given

. We don't have a name for the album either. All of this with the release date supposedly being 2.5 months away.

It is curious. Didn't Tom Whalley go back to Interscope? It sure would be interesting if she ended up there. Especially since Interscope and Polydor are both under Universal. Hmmm....

So know the playback stage has begun.
I've got a feeling that the marketing is going to start rolling out after the holidays. I've reckon all details will be announced mid-January once all the holidays are over.

This is what I believe as well. When I read the SVP of new media for Warners leak he was at a playback for Stevie's new record the other day. It appears that they are now listening and staging how they can market the record. Stevie is notorious for not announcing official release dates until they are confirmed (which is usually a couple months before it drops). I too think we will get official word sometimes @ mid - January, along with more details. And suspect the new record will drop sometime in March (if not March 1st), which gives her a month to do media interviews and then go into rehersals for a Spring/Summer tour with Dave probably starting in June. Although I would love for her to start doing dates as early as April/May in smaller venues.

It's all coming together

. It seems the most talked about song has been Italian Summer, I wonder if this is a strong contender for lead single.

At this point I would be happy if she or Dave just confirmed the title before January...That would make it seem even more real. Until we get all the specific's. It seems so close now. To think we have been talking about this since late Febuary 09' when Dave 1st tweeted he was writing with Stevie. It's really flown by.

Somebody on different site has already heard Italian Summer and they weren't knocked out by it. Infact, they didn't like her vocal and said the song reminded them of I Miss You and Silver Girl. They did think the production was really good—a background of strings and really pretty music.

My anticipation for this album just died a little bit if this is true.

REM announced today that their new album drops March 8. At this point with absolutely no promotion I'm almost hoping Stevies record doesn't come out in March.

To be fair... That person heard all of about a minute of the song - which really shouldn't be used as a gauge on the whole song, or album... and it could have been a rough version of it... nobody knows.
