I know that everyone in the band except I think John and Chris had coke problems...didn't they both have drinking problems? Not trying to be negative or anything just curious cause i've never heard anything negative about Chris other then her and John divorcing, and John having a hard time with alcohol. Oh and something about the cops finding marijuana and guns ?

I think Christine did cocaine as well, just not as much as Mick and Stevie. I think.

If I remember correctly (and I'm probably wrong) I think Stevie said both she and Christine have holes in their noses, but Christine's is much smaller than Stevie's.

I don't think Christine and Lindsey did nearly as much coke as Stevie and Lindsey. Lindsey loved to smoke pot, and Christine loved to drink wine, champagne, and gin.

You write as if you were there. So you're saying that when Chris was with Lindsey she snorted less coke than when Stevie was with Lindsey?

"I don't think" doesn't imply that he has knowledge that you lack. Or maybe he does?
His statement follows the tendencies of the band members, that we all pretty much know to be true. I mean, I don't think a picture exists of Chris, where she didn't have a drink in her hand.

I find your post to be inflammatory, and let me tell you, John(jbrownsjr) is one of the best Ledgies in existence.

Guns and pot was John and Julie amirite? They were found in the house and there was no firearms licence.

Christine drinks. A lot. As Dave Walker, supposed booze-hound, claimed in his Q and A, Christine could drink any man under the table. I think of that wonderful article on FM meeting with representatives from the then Soviet Union where Christine and some Russian official get into a Vodka drinking contest...

Christine did her share of coke, too. Remember that anecdote about the Granny Panties in Carol Harris's book? The entire episode began because a cop spotted Chris snorting coke off her dashboard while speeding down the California Highway to a RS photo shoot.

But, unlike Stevie or Mick (who probably did more coke than Lindsey)--Christine got out of the craziness much earlier and even began to critique that lifestyle in early 80s interviews. Maybe watching Dennis Wilson destroy himself was warning enough?

Wow in regards to Chris and the Russian official vodka contest...also wow to speeding down the road snorting coke, that's a better story then the rumor of coke being blown up the southern hole!

Never thought she really did coke! Learn something all the time! But figured there was a drinking issue.

The southern hole is a Stevie story, right?

As Lindsey has said, drugs were really the NORM, back then. She'd have been weird if she hadn't been doing coke. And I think alcohol was her coping mechanism. Never really one for the spotlight, and also afraid of flying, booze certainly took the edge off.

They all indulged in various substances to varying degrees. I think Christine was a little bit more level-headed than some of the others, and knew when it was time to pull back and readjust her lifestyle. She just grew out of it.

While coke is now out of the picture, it's not out of the question to think that Lindsey and Stevie still smoke pot and drink responsibly. Nothing wrong with that!

Hmm.....concerning Lindsey and drugs...Where I live, if you smoked pot in the same house where your children live, that would be grounds to remove your children from the home.

In the State of Massachusetts where I live Marijuana was decriminalized 3 days after I stopped using it. If you are caught with one ounce or less you will recieve a ticket to pay a one hundred dollar fine but no jail time.Anything over an ounce and you're off to jail buddy.
I smell weed everywhere these days. Maybe Lindsey should move his family here.

Oh and viv... The reason I wrote "I think" was because I wasn't there. All we have to go on is reading articles, interviews, and speculation... I wouldn't presume or assume I was 100% correct.. just giving my guess..
