I got a little bored too but I'm trying to defeat the Elite Four at the moment so I can revisit Kanto (Is a nerd and named her Pokemon after members of the Mac. Typhlosion as Lindsey, Growlithe as John, Vulpix as Christine, Persian as my own character, Neva, Ho oh as Mick and Jynx as Stevie). Have you heard about the new games, Black and White? They're apparently brand new Pokemon and a brand new world so that should be nifty!

I stopped playing for a while after Ruby and Sapphire so didn't buy any new games, but I bought a DS over the summer to keep the boredom abated and I did enjoy it again. The fact that Black and White is completely new is too tempting to avoid it lol. Also....the new Pokemon are sweeet! I am definitely picking Oshawott for my new starter. It looks like a wee clown, bless I love the fact that they have a great, British Pidgeon as a Pokemon XD

You are cruel lol. It's a pity that they havn't taken more lessons from the cartoon, because I would love a chance to run a Pokemon rescue centre, rather than actually battle them. Would be nice if we had options.

Whilst looking for a clip of Schroeder playing "Jingle Bells" for the Secret Santa thread, I ran across this, which made me giggle:

So cute. JTIS.

Oh, the challenges of youth ....

Difficult situation here,

you are very mature for your age,

it will happen for you,

just make sure that you keep your self focused on your well being,

do not think that because you have not yet found that special someone that there is a problem,

you will find the right person, at the right time,

in the mean time, make sure that you take care of yourself,

perhaps at this time you could focus on your creative writing skills,

your posts in the past have been very interesting, &, well written .......

just remember; "Carpe Diem",

I was just evacuated from my apartment because the apartment two floors above me caught on fire. The fire is out, but now my place is full of water. FML

That's just awful and sucks either way. But at least you're safe. I could imagine water damage being a bitch to deal with too. Did you manage to save anything beforehand?

Luckily, my sprinklers didn't come on, so all the water leaked in from the ceiling and walls and managed not to soak my things, just my floor! So I've spent the past hour scooping up water and blaring Fire Burning on repeat

Too funny, considering the circumstances. What would worry me about water damage is all the mold and mildew you'll have to watch out for now. Where are Red Cross and your landlord/insurance people? Might be something to check into because you should receive some help in dealing with this mess.

What's also scary given that there was a fire and no doubt, a lot of water was used... you don't want your neighbors above you literally "dropping in" when you're sitting down watching tv. That ceiling could very well be weak now.

Maintenance came and vacuumed up the remaining water and I have fans blowing like a bitch! But I am sure the insurance peeps and management will be out tomorrow to assess the damage. Funny thing is, there is a city ordinance saying they must have a fire extinguisher in EVERY apartment. Back in November they got their fire inspection and then took my fire extinguisher. The maintenance guy came and I asked him what happened and he said the people upstairs had a small grease fire and they couldn't find their extinguisher and that is what caused the fire the get big enough to make the sprinklers in their apartment come on. I told him I didn't have a fire extinguisher either and he said, "Yeah, we had to get new ones for some apartments so we took the old ones and we just got the new ones in, but I don't have a list for the apartments that need the extinguishers so I have been waiting on the list!" So I am sure the apartments above me have much more damage than I. I wouldn't be surprised if they sued!
