Default Deep Dense...

A funny kind of luv...

Here's another one... I did EQ it a bit to try and bring out Lindsey's voice a bit better. I chopped out that weird drum bit in the beginning to make it kick off more like a "single"... also the guitar solo fades out and rounds off the track a bit better than the demo.

Enjoy!

I always liked the drum parts, but I guess it does give it more of a single feel. Are you able to bring up the overall sound volume any more...it's still pretty low. The sound difference on SSS was much more discernable.

Yeah I can throw an expander on it but then the peaks will go over 0db. I think it was already peaking around -1db.

Hmmm... well, it's a little better, but it's just not nearly as loud and clear as the other songs you did. I do like the way you edited it ( though I personally like the drums, it's neat to have two versions ), but I guess it's just due to the original recording being so quiet...Lindsey and his sonic tinkering

And BTW, you know this is kinda like your "guitar speak", don't you?? Once again I'm going to have suggest a flux capacitor

Well if I throw an expander dynamic on the MP3, it brings most of the frequencies straight up... But what happens is, the louder peaks in the song (drum snare hits, etc) get cranked up way over 0 decibels... and then you lose that dynamic because I have to bring it all back down below 0 to keep from distorting. If that makes any sense.

Deep Dense is a relatively poor quality. I daresay She Smiled Sweetly is ready to put on a record after I fixed it up. The other demos are hard to work with. Like I said, I'm limited with what I can do since it's only two tracks.

Re. She Smiled Sweetly...I think so too.

As for Deep Dense, I sorta understood your explanation, and agree that that's the problem ...the quality being just too poor to begin with. Cool song though, and I wish he'd give it another go. Even though it didn't clean up as well as the others, it's still a keeper. Your work was definitely worth the effort IMHO
