1. I think SYW seriously lacks b/c Chris is missing. I don't think it was a good thing going back to the B/N thing. Chris's vocals just can't be replaced.

2. John was the coolest dresser in the 70s and 80s. Love the cut off shorts and white shoes w/ no socks!

3. It really annoys me how Lindsey says the same thing in every interview he's ever done. If I hear him say the word "cycles" again, I think I'll poke my eyes out.

4. B/c Lindsey says the same things all the time, I find his interviews horribly boring.

5. I don't think things got better b/c they got older.

6. Stevie up until Tango looks like a totally different person than after Tango. To me, her looks have changed so dramatically that she could totally be a different person.

7. I think Lindsey looked way better during the Dance than now.

8. I don't think they should have gotten rid of the Penguin mascot.

9. I like Lindsey, but I think he would be a real pill to work/live with. I don't blame Stevie at all for dumping him and I respect any woman that can put up with him in a relationship/marriage.

10. I think Paper Doll and No Questions Asked are two of Stevie's best songs ever.

11. I think Stevie and Christine shined on Tusk - their best work IMO. I think Lindsey, on the other hand, had his best work on Rumours.

12. Lindsey didn't really try with his songs on Mirage or Tango. They are not very good at all.

13. Mick's drum solo blows chunks.

14. I'm not a big fan of the long guitar solos.

15. Stevie doesn't rock like she used to. (that's not bad, but I'd rather watch a performance from the 70's or 80's than now)

16. I don't think any of the members really care about the "fans" except Stevie.

Great Topic...I'm cracking up reading everyone's posts!
Here are my additions:

Go Insane is one of the worst albums of the eighties (and that's saying something)

Destiny Rules in my new least favorite Stevie song...the vocal is rivaled only by that of her horrible "Silent Night" redition on the first VSC album.

ROC is my very favorite Stevie album...and I'm not sure why.

I agree wholeheartedly with whoever said LB's wedding ring was "in your face" and distracting. I don't think he should be allowed to wear it with Stevie on stage.

I am happy Christine didn't come back. I'm a diehard BuckNicks fan and the only thing I'll miss is "Oh Daddy" live.

Gypsy is my least favorite Stevie song on Mirage and Sara is my least favorite Stevie song on Tusk. My favorites are Straight Back and Beautiful Child.

I agree with all of these COMPLETELY. (Hi Mrs. Buckingham!) The age has not made them better, IMO- part of me thinks I'm only going to this tour in hopes that they'll sound somewhat like they used to. I will be TERRIBLY sad not hearing Christine's hits. Cmon. You Make Lovin' Fun. Say You Love Me. Over and Over. Everywhere. ..sigh.

Bring back the short, shorts, Johnny! hahahahahahaa...

One more thing:

I wish they'd KEEP playing Monday Morning live. Don't do Don't Stop- you can't do that without Chris. wtf.

I can't agree with everything you mentioned but the things I do agree with are these
I love Mirage and more so than Tango as I got into the Mac back in the Mirage era

I love Lindsey and usually like everything he does but Red Rover is so boring IMO.

When I See You Again has that killer ending with Lindsey and it is almost like they are talking to each other.

Fall From Grace was one of the TISL songs that I do not care for along with Bombay Sapphire

Empire State Rocks but I love Family Man, too but Empire is definitely better

I love Christine in all eras but I agree that some of her earlier pre-Buck Nicks stuff is fabulous

Exclamation LMAO!!!!!!!!!!

This thread is frickin NUTS!! LOL We are all spewing out everything we've held in!!

I don't understand the Lindsey's ring being "in your face". Distracting? LMAO!!! He shouldn't wear it on stage with Stevie??? WTH not?!!? This is FRICKIN HILARIOUS!!!!

I LOVE Family Man...that guitar is just PURE JOY!! It's upbeat and doesn't drag....so YAY!!!!

I hate when they use to put "jam sessions" on their albums pre-Rumours era. Ugh....those Madge songs on TPO...SKIP SONGS!! LOL

I don't like Billy Burnette's voice much. Don't care for Dave Mason either. Don't own Time or BTM, but I'm gonna get em eventually for completion reasons. LOL

Danny Kirwan has surpassed Miss Christine as my THIRD fave member of FM! *GASP* Actually, he MAY be tied with Miss Stevie for 2nd place....I just frickin love Danny!!!!

I love the video for Big Love (flying in space included).

I like You and I Part 2. (now if i said i liked it better then part 1...well i'd be lying)

3 songs per album is all i need from Ms Nicks

I love Tango in the Night.

Lindsey's voice really sucks now. (its a shame). Whoever says he needs to take vocal lessons...i fully agree.

Why the hell did i buy the 2cd edition of SYW.

Angel?...yuck...

Straight Back?...yuck

I miss christine

Some more:

I'm sick of hearing Stevie talk about giving up kids and relationships just as much as I am sick of hearing about healing and cycles from Lindsey.

I'm tired and bored to death with the whole rehashing of the past drama. It's soooooooo old and any die-hard music fan knows it already.

Like someone else said, Go Insane is absolutely awful (the album).

Say You Love Me from The Dance was 100 times better than the album version.

Lindsey needs to stop looking up big words to say in interviews to show how smart he is, that drives me bananas!

The lyrics to Love Is Dangerous are so bad. "Standing at the crossroads..." ????? Ick.

I love Stevie's version of Silent Night!

I'm mad at Stevie for not having a go at Iovine's unibrow. It's a jungle up there, folks.

I'm also not too keen on the album version of HAEWAFY; the best version was on Storytellers.

The video to Paper Doll is the absolute bottom of the barrel.

GREAT thread!

*The pre-1975 Mac stuff is decent, but really...the Rumours era stuff is my favorite, hands down!
*I'm So Afraid is a horrible studio track
*Rhiannon on the White album is bland IMHO
*Lindsey whines a LOT! He doesn't want to play other people's materials "I payed my dues" from the pre-'75 Mac...and then there was that smart ass comment about them needing "two people" to replace him in '87! Well, how about the seven hundred and forty five musicians you had to replace the Mac on your '93 tour Bucko?
*From a man's point of view, Mick Fleetwood was rather gross looking until the late 80's. Some of those 70's pics of him are revolting. What the hell was Stevie thinking?
*Stevie's shining moment was Bella Donna. Anything she has done since has paled in comparison.
*Stevie's contributions on TITN were horrid. She really was in the worst form I have ever seen her. It would have been better had she not been involved at all really, a la Christine on SYW.
*Christine McVie is hot...end of story.
*Lindsey's use of Tango-esque sounds on Say You Will. It's not 1987 anymore.
*Stevie's lackluster performances with the Mac so far this year. I mean, smile at US a little bit. Sheesh.
*Obsessive Stevie fans.
*Obsessive Lindsey fans, though, they aren't even close to the number, or annoyingness of the obsessive Stevie fans.
*Christine NOT being on SYW. I wasn't terribly upset until I hear the album, and the songs, and imagine how much more greatness they could be if Chris was there!

wow...I am miserable tonight! Sorry everyone!

YES! I forgot about that one. I adore The Dance version of SYLM. The one the White album is sorta bland.

Thumbs up I agree!!

SYLM MOST DEF was done BEST on The Dance...it's SOOOOO boring on the White Album!

LMAO at the "What the hell was she thinking?" in regards to Stevie and Mick!! EWWWWWW!!!!!!!!

I frickin LOVE You and I, BOTH PARTS!! EXCELLENT!!

Anyone else get kinda wierded out by Mick's HANGING balls on the cover of Rumours? Or is it just me?

AMEN to being SICK AND TIRED of the soap opera aspect of FM!!!!

STEVIE is JUST AS WIERD as LINDSEY in the lyrics department most especially...in a totally different way, but wierd, nonetheless!

WHEW!! LOL

Still more...

While her eyes, voice, and personality have a timeless appeal, I don't think Chris looked especially good until the Tango days (and ever since). Those old Grammy pics with the crimped hair are not flattering. And I think she's had work done. Her face got tighter between the Mirage & Dance concert videos. And I believe her chin became more prominent by the late '80s.

I like Lindsey - really - but I'd be happy if he got to make that solo album. I'd love to hear/see a new Mac incarnation with Mick, John, Stevie, Chris, and Sheryl. Still three songwriters who can harmonize, but now a female triumvirate. That would be a fresh angle and sound from this band. The press would also have something new to write about rather than the band's long-dead romances.

I hope Jessica doesn't follow in Aunt Stevie's footsteps professionally. Lisa Marie has already exceeded my tolerance for nepotism.

I think Stevie will get married again.

I wait for the day when Matthew Anderson meets with Stevie again & we get to hear about it. I think it would inspire her musically. His mother's tragic death sure did.

confessions...what a great thread. ok, here goes, the first three are the doozies...

~ I never really liked Rhiannon...I can take the piano versions but the rock versions have always bored me

~ Bella Donna is my least favorite Stevie solo album and the last solo album I bought...

~ I liked it better when Landslide was just a secret FM fan song, I hate the fact it's become so popular

~ I like the Stevie "big hair" late 80's look the best. She looked so forlorn and beautiful especially when she was trying to finally kick cocaine and her clothes were so creative and sexy

~ I love Lindsey look with the big afro and beard in the 70's but now he's starting to look old, close the shirt, please

~ Tommer's right, the girl can afford plastic surgery so if she did implants in the 70's, she can get a nip and tuck now

~ Straight Back is my favorite Stevie w/FM tune but I like Tango just a little bit better than Mirage. Hold Me is their best video with Little Lies coming in second.

~ I like the treadmill effect in the Stand Back video and I was high the first time I ever saw that video

~ I can no longer listen to Come since I found out it was about Ann Heche (thanks Ledge) even tho it was my fav GOS tune

~ I am a thread killer, it seems whenever I finally answer a long thread I'm the last one to respond

~ I always end up with bad seats at concerts...no matter how hard I say next time I'm gonna pay top dollar for good seats, I'm too cheap to ever actually buy them and this includes the upcoming concert

Default Just one

As a result of the total debacle known as The Fleetwood Mac fan club, I will never be able to see Mick Fleetwood as anything but a scoundral again. Maybe most of you already were there. I do appreciate what he has given the band musically, but from his treatment of the fans through his keeping Jonathan Todd, I will never look at him the same way again.

Some more:

*Stevie's witchy appeal, and people that think she's 1) a witch, 2) a gypsy, or 3) a God. Puhleez...
*Cycles - LINDSEY, SHUT UP. I'm sick of cycles...I'm sick of you talking about them.
*The fact that these people fight about everything. If they spent half the energy they do arguing about what songs to play, the sequencing of an album,...on writing songs and music, they would release twice as many alb ums.
*John McVie wins as the "Coolest Fleetwood Mac Member"
*Mick's drum solo was never cool, ever. And it's not like John got to do a bass solo anywhere except the Chain?
*The backup girls and their stupid little snake dance or whatever the heck they are doing.
*The Tango in the Night video should be crushed and burned with Mili Vanili.
*The moron who decides, "The Mirage Tour video doesn't need to be re-released"
*The two morons who decide that they still shouldn't release Buckingham/Nicks
*Lindsey bringing up that Stevie won't thank him for makign her music work
*Stevie not thanking him
*Smile At You on SYW is just not comparable to the demos.
*When I see You Again is the worst track on TITN, and quite possibly on any Fleetwood Mac album with Stevie on it.
*Paper Doll is a fun song until you see the video
*The Ledge - the most amusing song from the Mac
*The big Silver Springs controversy. Come on Stevie, why didn't you ever try to use the song before Timespace if it was THAT important to you? I mean, in 1981 you could have gone to Mick and seen if you could use it for Bella Donna? And nothing stopped you from doing SS in concert on your solo tours! Suddenly in 1990 it became the "thing that broke up Fleetwood Mac"
*Mick's fan club...what a joke. Just the fact that the main guy was like, the Pirate or the Joker or whatever he was made that whole thing a joke.
