Default GOS leftovers on the new album?

Assuming the new album is legit does anyone think any of the remaining GOS tracks will finally be officially released?

I personally would love to see Deep Dense and My Little Demon on the new album.

Id adore it if She Smiled Sweetly made it. I know it's a cover but it's still valid.

Deep Dense and pretty much any of the Stones covers would be awesome.

But I wonder if he'd do My Little Demon again, after The Dance? Maybe so, since they did BTLH (third rendition).

I want Deep Dense badly and a finished Given Thing.

I hope he would approach it again. I mean, I have the demo tracks and they have the makings of a very good studio song. They definitely fit with his slightly off the wall approach, complete with howling and trademark grunts ala Bwana

I wonder if, hypothetically speaking of course, Christine would ever release Temporary One if she ever daned to approach another solo album. There's probably more chance of her canine companions releasing a cover of Who Let The Dogs Out, if I'm realistic lol. That would be so epic.

How about this crazy idea... NEW SONGS!!!

Since he is a songwriter(?), doesn't he have some
new things to write about? Enough with the retreads.

Okay, now I feel better.

Haha! Good point. I don't think a "Greatest Hits" album would really be what the fans are after. But one or two unreleased but appreciated tracks could help make the album. But at the end of the day it's his choice. Maybe he doesn't even know that some fans have the "unreleased" tracks lol.

No, I completely agree. No covers. He did a good job on the Stones' stuff. Love to hear Blue Turns to Grey, but I don't want it on an album.

Heck, I don't even want Blue Letter on an album. Please give me a redo on that.

As for him finishing GOS songs that I've never heard completed, I do consider that new. So, he can bring Wear You Down, Given Thing and Deep Dense out any time he likes.

He totally has enough material with another five new songs to release another solo album. Here's hoping. Still... he needs to address these rumours. Does he have a publicist?

Good question. He doesn't know that the rumor is making it round the fan community, so he might not know that there's a need to have someone address it.

Maybe he'll say something Friday. He can murmur that he's doing a new album just before breaking into the requisite Big Love.

As much as I still look forward to a new album from Lindsey,
Stevie or that band they're all in (right now the name escapes me).
I get irritated with the covers and the old songs they drag up. Stevie
just can't seem to write anymore, good songs anyway.

I'd like to rip up that canvas that Lindsey is always painting on,
and say "hey bro, start completely over, we need something
fresh from you, are you capable?".

I think he and Stevie are in such a safe place in their careers
that they're not hungry anymore. At their age I'm sure they're
somewhat aware that real chart success is all over. And now
they seem to put less effort into new music.

I am a fan of both, I just wish they would do better.

"Given Thing", "Deep Dense" and "Got To Get Away" (cover) are really the ones that got away from GOS, were thrown in the deep dense and should be a given thing to be included on a new CD in their finished state.

All of those GoS leftovers are pretty much finished tracks, so I don't see much of a need to dig them back up. The one glaring exception, and the one I love the most, is Given Thing. Probably never going to be finished, but I can dream.

Wear You Down needs an official release.
That is all.
