I haven't listened to OOTC yet. I'm working backwards, started with GOS and just got UTS. So far, I love pretty much every track on his solo albums. When it comes to Stevie vs. Linds, I'd say I love Stevie for her lyrics and unique voice and Bucky for his compositions (which, ultimately, makes or breaks the song).

You also forgot that he's a kickass guitarist and falls into a small club of musicians (that includes folsk such as Bonie Raitt and Steve Winwood) as a person that could sing and play his respective instrument well.

BTW, what is that song Great Day about?

I agree, I don't think it'd be bad taste. I've also never seen wedding pics before. It interests me because that was turning point in his life (probably more his son, not the wedding itself)

You caught me! I forgot those things Wasn't Great Day co-written by his Will? That makes is even more difficult to find its meaning. I'm not sure, but I definitely don't want to think of a 10 year old boy writing some of those lyrics. They are obviously talking about doing the dirty deed.

You talk just like me

I think Will just wrote the chorus and the rest is...well, Bucky's favorite topic, something he's sung about in Second Hand News and Slow Dancing.

Lindsey said Will was just going around singing, "it's a great day, great day."

Thankfully wasn't saying anything about coming in all wet in the closet or whatever else was going on there.

Cassie, GOS is well worth the price! Regardless of how you get it, just get it already God, it's sooooo good. I've said it before, and I'll say it again...that he didn't even get a nomination for a grammy is BS. He should have won...

OOTC I love to listen to on long drives. It's perfect, beginning to end. Go Insane is cool. I love Slow Dancing, but Loving Cup, I Want You, and DW Suite are excellent too, and I'll never tire of the title song.I love the alarm clock at the beginning of I Want You. It's great going all around your head on an ipod : )

Cassie, you and ally3 should watch his Soundstage DVD too. I know you like Big Love and Go Insane from that one, but Trouble is sublime. Plus he does Murrow, and Down on Rodeo, and I am Waiting, and...oh, and of course, Stevie makes an appearence!

So much good stuff to discover!

How exactly do you talk? I guess like me?

That's good to hear that it was just the chorus that Will wrote. I'm fine with Bucky's favorite topic but you forgot Big Love and although I'm not sure what it's about, it's in the name, Gift of Screws
(nevermind, it's based on a poem. But still.)

You're right, there is so much to discover! It's exciting being a newer fan.
I think I've seen parts of the soundstage, but I should see it all. I've definitely heard the sublime Trouble.

...and a lover getting hotter and hotter. That's kind of a funny thought if Will was actually going around singing that. Disturbing, but comical.

Then again, Will is Lindsey's son, so when he's older, he is probably gonna write at least a few songs about Lindsey's favorite topic.

i actually got GOS from my friend and it's taking me time to get into it. I heard more than my fair share of Law and Order from Shawna's Tumblr (if you dunno it, ask me), and I have seen Bass Performance Hall, so that's a start. My Lindsey-crazy friend has been dying to send me his solo albums (hell, one day she asked me for my address again and then told me she wanted to mail me GOS and OOTC) cause, like me, she likes to share. Hell, she won't accept it when I try to reciprocate (I know she also enjoys Foreigner, so like it or not next time she's getting a CD of their stuff), but his solo stuff is good so far.

Someone agrees with me! I do like Go Insane era best, but I also like Mirage era and OOTC era.

I completely agree about loving the alarm clock at the beginning of 'I Want You'!! Such a Lindsey idea!! As for GOS, it definitely deserved a better reception, but I think I like UTS even more.
