Today, in 3 hours, I filled ten 30 gallon black plastic bags with leaves I raked and by using a leaf blower. Bagging massive amounts of leaves is a new experience for me. Yippee.
Me, outside, making with the yard work.
300 gallons of leaves. My old LA colleagues would be hysterical with laughter at the thought.
There are still tons of leaves on the trees, but the yard was looking too neglected to let it wait. I may do it all one more time, but after that, I'm done. A guy who lives down the street I've already set up for snow removal is anxious to do work before winter. He drove by, stopped to talk and seemed disappointed I was doing the leaves myself. Today was just a fraction of what will need to be done before winter but I felt like getting a start on it.
It feels a little awkward there's someone who lives so close waiting for me to be a source of income for him. Does anyone have any similar neighbors anxious to work, maybe too anxious? I'm grateful and all, but feel a little pressure. Oh well, doesn't matter, much.

I put pretty Maple Tree leaves in two seperate boxes and sent them to friends in Arizona. They were thrilled. When you keep these leaves inside your house and handle them by their stems, they will never die. They make great decorations too.

^Thanks for the tip, Viv. Leaves in the house? Well, if I decide to do that, I'll just open the windows and lift the screens!
OH, belated congratulations to you on your achievement and success with the diet and weight loss you mentioned.

My uncomfortable realization of the day: I know nothing of the art of relationships when my relationships mold into art. Blood on the paper leaves nothing left to pump out of the heart.

So here I am, stuck for the day in the student library during what is supposed to be a week off from stress with a twenty minute seminar (which I'm delivering), to prepare. I forgot my usb pen and now have no way of getting home for it as I left my key with my mum whilst anticipating a full day of work. She won't be home for hours.

Who's a clever girl then....

JTIS, Went to the dentists today over my jaw only to be told that I still have a baby tooth that's probably going to need extracting for the other tooth to be brought down to where it should be.

ffs.

I feel so silly. The damned fire alarm went off on Saturday night / Sunday Morning at 3am, because someone sprayed deodarent in their room. And now I can't sleep because I'm all paranoid it'll go off again. It's so bloody ridiculous. Last night I couldn't get to sleep till after 5am because of this anxiety. Bah. I feel so... silly.

you have trouble going to sleep because you have anxiety that you think a possible future noise is going to wake you up?
