Default Songs you would like to see covered !

I would like to see FM cover so many songs it's unbelievable, I think Stevie & Lindsey would do a great job :-).

One in particular would be Tears on my Pillow (Singing verse about)

Anybody else ?

Because I'm an unashamed shipper, I would sell my family to see them do Killing Me Softly.

Roberta Flack's version or Lauren Hill's? (The wrong answer Marissa will get you taken behind my shed when I shoot Anthony for loving the wrong songs too.)

A biit of a reversal here to start. Van Halen with david Lee Roth has done some great covers of songs, including some from that era (such as Linda Ronstadt's version of You're No Good), and I would love to see them cover The Chain. I heard they're making a new album, so that might be a possiblity

Now that i got that aside, onto Big Mac. I hate to say it, but I could definitely see either Lindsey or Stevie (or both together) covering You're No Good. Another good one could be Somebody to Love by Jefferson Airplane.

Ooo I love Somebody to Love. I think that one would be good too
I don't have any other ideas yet though :/

Obviously "California Dreamin'" would be interesting given its role in their history.

A recent choice for me would be Morrissey's "Black Cloud"--which I think is very Fleetwood Mac-y.

Oh and a classic I think would be interesting with the Buck touch (whether solo or with Mac) is "Hurdy Gurdy Man."

In the 90s, Wedding Present released a series of singles (one a month, for a year) which featured an A-side new song and a B-side cover. It was called The Hit Parade. Imagine the Mac doing that, utilizing iTunes. At the end of the year, they'd have a two-disc set of 12 new songs and 12 covers, maybe of the songs that influenced them or even more contemporary songs to which they respond (the Mac do "Single Ladies"!).

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

John Mayer's Half Of My Heart.

I loathe him but that song has Fleetwood Mac written all over it.

I'm probably going to need another mask and spot on that lineup with my list of ideas, some of which I had when I was walking home from University today. Crass and trite but I really don't care.
  • Queen - Who Wants To Live Forever (Probably a Lindsey and Chris thing considering the harsh temper of Stevie's voice).
  • Bay City Rollers - Maybe I'm A Fool To Love You (Chris)
  • R.E.M. - What's The Frequency, Kenneth?
  • Randy Newman - I Think It's Going To Rain Today (Tempted by Stevie but unless I heard it I'm not sure)
  • Bread - Everything I Own (Chris)
  • Joni Mitchell - Little Green (Stevie)

Bee, you are spared the firing squad this time. I only know one of these songs. These songs would do it for me cause they've never performed them before. Really any song will do, as long as it's not the same ole same ole.

Oh, is Chris gonna be there?

Stevie singing 'Little Green' would probably kill me. Literally kill me. Dead, I would be. I would be a dead person. Dead from a twisted sort of happiness, I grant you, but gah! too much emotion!
