Default My First Remix (sort of) - Maker of Birds

As some of you may know I bought an mp3 DJ console several months back in hopes of being able to master the art of the remix, especially for Stevie's music. Unfortunately the learning curve is a lot higher than I thought and I didn't spend the time and effort needed to be able to do it. Well today I realized I loved the song The Maker of Birds and decided to give my console another chance. Although this isn't really a remix it's a start for me. I simply added some effects and sped it up a bit. The quality of the recording is still pretty poor but let me know what you guys think. Thanks in advance.

There are better copies circulating. I haven't heard this track in years. I can't tell what you remixed.

I have two suggestions you can take or ignore. I wouldn't want to offend an artist.
1. Remix only excellent quality songs
2. find some good beats on a hip hop web site

Good point. The quality sucks. Would love to have a better quality version because it is such an eloquent, divine song.

I just did that! Found 5,000 beats for $10. It's taking a while to download but I intend to put a beat to it and repost the link. Thanks for the feedback. It's a work in progress. I hope to look back on this one day and think "hmm I had no clue what I was doing and have sure come a long way!".
