GDW is my favorite here. Well, besides Silver Springs which is just really impressive and a bar above any of the others. But we can't vote for SS. I love everything about GDW. The fact that it is so "loose" has made it not get old over the decades it's been preformed live.

Dreams, good song but I'm tired of it so I don't really even know if it's good or not anymore. I love a passionate Dreams from the WH tour. These days I'm happy if a live Dreams gets an "ahhhahaa haaa haa haah aaahh" at the end.

IDWTK...poppy upbeat song. Fun. Doesn't do much for me though.

I loved Dreams for years and years but by 1983 I was sick of it. Gosh, has there been a FM concert since 1977 where they didn't play it? Still, it's a great pop song. Love the harmonies.

I Don't Wanna' Know is catchy and the lyrics are excellent--clear, simple and coherent in a way many Stevie's lyrics are not.

Gold Dust Woman is excellent--and her best contribution to the record.

Silver Springs. Well written with a fantastic instrumental backdrop, but her vocal on the studio original is weird: she sounds like one of the chipmunks. Her version on The Dance is far superior.

The Chain--she wrote the lyrics and, from what I can assume, came up with the vocal melody. That's no small contribution to this song!

I may be in the minority but I love I Don't Wanna Know. I love the opening guitar of the tune. Excellent acoustics on my speakers.

Again, this is another example of what Lindsey and stevie brought to the group as far as their sound and essence. It's gotta great feel and interesting to listen to..

Dreams - Still one of my favourites from Stevie, totally gorgeous vocal. One of the songs where she has the most control over her voice (I think Beautiful Child is her best vocal performance on record though) I think Dreams is still such a great song for me because I haven't burned myself out on it.

I Don't Wanna Know - It's such a shame that they never did this live after joining the band, it's a fun little song, but I think that's all it is. The weakest on the album, in my opinion.

Gold Dust Woman - Simply brilliant. I could listen to the album version all day. The strongest song on the record, and one of Stevie's best songs ever.

Silver Springs - I LOVE the original version on the B Side of Go Your Own Way. Her vocal is gorgeous, and the "chorus of Stevies" sounds amazing, it's a huge shame it wasn't on the album, and I'll always class it as a Rumours song. It's just perfect.

1. Gold Dust Woman - Definitely my absolute favorite song of Stevie's on Rumours, very stunning vocals throughout.

2. I Don't Want To Know - As aleuzzi said, very catchy song and fun to sing along with.

3. Dreams - I do like it, but it's not one of my favorite Stevie or FM songs as a whole. Even though it is played just as much as other FM songs like GDW, Rhiannon, Little Lies etc. on the radio I'm just tired of it.

4. The Chain - One of my top favorites, it has one of the best bass lines & solos of all time in my opinion. Very addictive song is all I can say.

5. Silver Springs* - It took me a while to get into this song a long time ago, because as I've never really been a fan of a lot of songs on the slower side, I honestly didn't give it much of a chance. I would listen to about 30 secs. and then skip to the next one, but I'm glad I stopped doing that and gave it a chance because it's one of the greatest songs she's written & sang IMO. Once it really kicks in it's perfect.

TBH, I never cared for Stevie's songs on Rumours (now, her Tusk songs are a different story, but wrong album lol).

1. Gold Dust Woman- Trippy as hell, but I love it. A fantastic album closer and I love Hole's cover
2. I Don't Want To Know- Don't have much to say, but nice hamornies
3. Dreams- Me and a friend of mine on Facebook (sadly, he passed away in July from a heart attack), when discussing the "scar" on an album (the song that is not quite as strong as the others on an album), we decided Dreams was the one for Rumours. I've always hated it and I find it to be way too laid-back and boring for my taste. I swear, I can make fun of the line "Thunder only happens when it's raining" all day long

Gold Dust Woman gets my vote. It's a tremendous song on the studio track and live, especially live with all of her added verses and dragging out the end so dramatically in that ethereal, ultra-feminine way. I love the guitar. And like MissLadyLoki said, it is the perfect album closer.

Stevie's other Rumours songs I obsess with just as much. I love her writing on Dreams and Silver Springs. The harmonies floor me every time, studio or DVD or live. The way she sings, "It's only me who wants to wrap around your dreams", don't think I could even describe how much I love that I Don't Want to Know is the perfect song to sing-along to. Why on earth have they never done it live?

As for The Chain and all its lyrical tension and that bass and those harmonies? All I have to do is hear that opening bass and I'm covered in goosebumps.

Ok, I've sat back and read the other posts before I put my two cents in.

Dreams--OK I get the fact that it's been noticeably overplayed, and because of that it can sour on people, and I totally get people liking GDW better. But I can't believe the negative talk I'm reading about this song. Dreams is one of the tightest, if not the tightest produced song the band ever put together. The layered guitar work is spot on, the fills are placed perfectly. Lyrically the song is very relateable to the audience, and it uses a very standard pattern. Not to mention Stevie's voice is pitch perfect throughout this entire song. There are drum parts to show off Mick, and a good base line to show off John. LB shows off a quality backing vocal track as well. CM's keyboard work is solid. This might be the ultimate Mac song from a production point of view. Even Caillat, and Dashut put a solid performance together here. Overplayed...sure, like another song better...totally fine with that, but ripping on it....really...........really?

IDWTK--very catchy tune, very much what Buckingham Nicks may have sounded like had they stayed solo. The stop-go hard chord arrangement, really allows for people to tap thier feet on this one. This one fits very well on this album of pop/rock tunes.

GDW--quality song, I can see why others prefer this song over the others. A mellow haughnting classic vibe. Very late 70's. Lyrically I wonder if Stevie really even knows what she is saying, I know I read somewhere that CM couldn't figure it out Classic FM vibe with the drum, bass line, and a layered guitar on top with a vocal. A formula that is tough to mess up.

Silver Springs---I hate one thing about this song...the fact that they developed it all the way during the Rumours process. I wish they had shelved it early, so that they didn't feel it was a Rumours piece. This to me is the first song...at least in Stevie's collection written with the Tusk vibe. It's way to artistic to be included in Rumours, but man that would've been a big hit if it had been really developed during the Tusk studio sessions. Luckily most FM fans give it the credit it deserves, but I think that song would've been huge.

Dreams-- Its definatly the most recogniseable fleetwood mac song here in europe and thats by a long shot, to me it seems little lies and everywhere are more popular here, but in their own right and not associated with Fleetwood mac... if that makes sense. Dreams is just amazing and hypnotic, but so overplayed and overcovered that it cant be my favorite.

IDWTK--I only recently discovered that this was a stevie nicks song, its very heavy on Lindsey, its not timeless, but really fits the vibe of the album. Definitely agree with the choice to put it on instead of silver springs, but maybe not so much the method.

GDW--such a weird song! I love it! I think its so weird that this song does and ever got mainstream airplay is its so dark... i find it even weirder that it was the b side to You make loving fun! Defo the best song off the album for me.

Silver Springs---I love this song, its my current favorite fleetwood mac song, but i really dont think it fits on rumours... It works best on the dance, soars like a phoenix with one of the most amazing vocal performances i've ever heard in my life.
