GDW is the only one of her Rumours songs that I think is still fresh and vibrant in concert. I have to say it doesn't stand out to me on the original Rumours, but I like the extras on the remastered and find them enchanting.

If the Mac did IDWTK, I think that would be fresh and vibrant. Hell would have frozen over, but I wasn't planning on going there anyway.

How could it even be considered "tired" when it was given an 13 year break from the Fleetwood Mac concert set? From 1995-2008

And, don't even GO toward "yet".

It would certainly have been exciting. When Christine left, I thought this would be an ideal candidate for Stevie and Lindsey's two vocals. They still sound good singing tightly together on SHN. I think they could do the same on IDWTK. Take us back to those BN days.

Voted for GDW ...

I like the version she did with Bob Welch at the Roxy (I think), cos it shows what a good riff the song's built around.

Dreams is kinda played-out to my ears, but I do still really like IDWTK cos who couldn't love a whole song with those voices superglued together like that. Gorgeous.

This makes me think that it would be very interesting to really look at how different album's, era's, song's have made use of their voice. How it's changed. The Say You Will album, for example, is fascinating because there is no real return to BN harmonizing (note in Destiny Rules we NEVER see them sing together in the studio) and there are no duets; instead, it's more like their voices haunt the others' songs, but pretty much every song is full of both them. It creates a different dynamic. Anyway, just musing...

That's very true and, in some cases, I think the song is enhanced by the haunting. This is particularly the case with Miranda and EFO. There's a detached vibe in the background vocal that adds to the mystery in Miranda and the estranged feeling in EFO.

I had to go with "Dreams." Its one of my *gateway* songs that opened up the world of Fleetwood Mac to me!
