I'm on my way slowly sneaking out of this area, thanks... That post was my first ever comment in the Lindsey segment and it could very well be the last. I just don't like him that much, for that I'm vagely sorry but stand behind it.

What does "vagely" mean? And honestly, not meaning to offend, but why on earth enter a thread based on the looks of a man you profess to not like or find attractive? Just to state that you don't like him and he isn't attractive? Well, you did mention the Mirage concert, of course cradled in the before-I-knew-anything-about-him statement. Honestly.

For me, Lindsey is eternally handsome. I think he was gorgeous when he was younger- at the peak of his band's fame- and I think he has aged incredibly well. While a lot of aging famous people rely on ridiculous antics to preserve their youth I give him props for just doing it naturally and not caving for the knife, the injections, the plugs, etc. I honestly don't think it's horrible to want to regain some shades of youth but once you get to the point where you can't move your face or have the puffy face...forget it.

Tusk, OOTC, Rumours, and SYW are probably my faves. Sorry for the over-long post. I do get touchy when people put LB down, but it's all good. Can't like everyone.

I completely agree! To me he's aging like a fine Wine.

I'll admit that, as horrible as it is to see his forehead grow, it's nothing compared to some of the work done on *shudders* Joan Rivers. Anyways, for a man of 60, he still looks fantastic for his age and he seems to only get better, even though fuzzy and Tusk are my favorite eras.

Do you guys think I should do a similar poll for Stevie's appearances over the years?

Well, I wouldn't have noticed...
To answer your questions: It was a poll and I voted. I stated that for once I found him attractive. I repeated that statement. I also wrote why I usually don't find him attractive anymore - which is my opinion and nothing more or less. When you can write what you think, why can't I without you attacking me?

Have a nice day in your private forum, thank you.

Ah, the beauty of hindsight. THIS is why I said to flee, before a small tiff occured. It's fun giving advice nobody heeds.

Haha! True. Though I think we can agree that Peter Green, Lindsey Buckingham (Jeremy Spencer at a Streeeeeetch) are the best of the bunch lol.

Mmmmmmm ....wouldn't leave out Rick Vito or Bob Welch, either. Nor Danny Kirwan, Bob Weston & Dave Mason. Billy Burnette wasn't geared to being a lead guitarist, but he is one of the most kick butt rhythm guitarists ever. (Billy, John Lennon & Tom Petty are, IMHO, the top three all-time rhythm guitarists)

When it comes down to it, ALL of Fleetwood Mac's guitarists are "top notch".

You forgot about Pete Townsend. He may not be a lead guitar type, but he is still the master of the rips in my books.

TBH, I really dunno the Mac's other guitarists so well (but that'll change once I listen to this burned copy of Mystery to Me that was just sent to me), but Greeny and Lindsey, while in different ways (they are 2 different genres after all), both kick major ass.

Both Bob's kick butt on MTM...

Weston "scorches" (especially on "Miles Away", "Emerald Eyes", "For Your Love" & the slide intro to "Why")

Welch "hypnotizes". His playing on MTM is more subtle...you can really get the gist of his playing on Heroes Are Hard To Find

(and engineer Martin Birch plays just the NASTIEST nylon string solo you'll ever hear on "Keep On Going")

I've been trying to get into the older Mac, but after MTM, should I go to Bare Trees or Heroes are Hard to Find?

Depends on what you think of MTM...if you really like it, go to Heroes..., if you have a so-so feeling from it, go to Bare Trees, since it has a sound that is closer to the Buckingham Nicks era. (Lot of similarities between Kirwan's guitar playing/songwriting and the pre-Tusk Buckingham. But, don't run toward the familiar, challenge yourself.)

But, at the same time as I say THAT, I've just recently noticed that there really isn't all that much of a "shifting of gears" between Heroes... & the '75 album....Welch's "Bermuda Triangle" would fit nicely in a playlist right before "Rhiannon". And, Christine's "Say You Love Me" is almost a sequel to Welch's "She's Changing Me".

Of course, the "end goal" is to get you to appreciate ALL phases of Fleetwood Mac.

Big Mac is a band that I'm still exploring, and if there's one thing I do music, books, and movies, it's that I'm always expanding my horizons and on the prowl for new and interesting stuff, but since I found someone who can burn me CDs of older Mac tunes, I'm gonna dig in more.
