While I appreciate Wilson Phillips' version for totally revamping the song, I really like the Cranberries' version....A LOT!!

I hate the Cranberries version. Wilson Philips is the default winner. Why can nobody do a good version of this song other than FM?

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Cranberry's win easily.

but I prefer the versions that blow up the original aggression of the song, like the ones from Seaweed (not too heavy, great drums and bass), NOFX
(here's agression), and even Biffy Clyro. (holy crap! - all on youtube, don't be startled!)

Butch Walker - there's several vids on youtube of him doing GYOW, including ACL Festival where I saw him for the first time. But this one's my favorite, for the audio quality, because I know the girl who filmed it, and because of what Butch does at 1:28.

I'm not a big fan of Go Your Own Way... I guess I've just heard it too darn many times. Perhaps that's why I actually enjoy the Wilson Phillips version, because it's like an entirely different song. I thought it was downright genius what they did with it. And I normally loathe Wilson Phillips, so that says a LOT!

It doesn't really sound right sung by anybody but Lindsey.. I think it sounds a little 'off' when attempted by others. Having said that however, I adore the way Dolores O'Riordan sings the chorus of GYOW..

Oh, and that Wilson Philips video makes me want to vom everywhere.

Oh, and that Wilson Philips video makes me want to vom everywhere.[/QUOT/] I think it's beautiful. With their version of the song you can get the emotions of the lyrics alot better. You can feel what Lindsey was writing!

I wish the Pet Shop Boys would cover this song. They'd really convey the right tone but in a different sexual-musical idiom.

Cool!!

Carrie has good taste in music, she loves HEART as well!

To any Wilson Phillips fans, they have a new Christmas CD coming out next month.

This if from a September 13, 2010 review of Sheryl Crow's concert in Los Angeles. Colbie Caillat opened for Sheryl:

http://www.spin.com/articles/sheryl-...ul-los-angeles

Most striking about the set by opener Colbie Caillat was how much the Malibu-bred songstress looked like a young Sheryl Crow. Comparisons stop there, though -- except for the single "Lucky" (co-written by Jason Mraz), the only other memorable moment was her cover of "Go Your Own Way," a song that Caillat's father, Ken, co-produced for Fleetwood Mac in the 1970s. She'd do well to heed that song's entreaty.
