Dave S. said it was recording an album in an entirely new way, I believe at her home studio, followed briefly by a proper LA recording studio for some 'killer lead vocals.' Maybe not, though.
Stevie said it was an entirely whole new way of writing with someone at the same time in the same room, loftily comparing she and Dave to Lennon and McCartney and R&H. New way of recording, new way of writing, same completely old way of delaying it beyond reason to satisfy her whim of her March 1 release. So, what was the point? If she were not taking so long between having recorded the cd and releasing it, all this 'entirely new' way of recording would make a difference- it'll get tweaked to death by March and get too sterilized like TISL did. There will be no year-end millions of people from teens to senior citizens who need to buy reasonable holiday gifts or stocking stuffers, and she will miss out on selling a couple hundred thousand copies more of the cd than she will in March. Also, people won't be able to 'learn' the new songs by her 2011 tour, which she claims she finds necessary to be comfortable not singing 'Mold Dust Woman' and all the others to death, again. I love GDW- with Fleetwood Mac- so that was sarcasm. Last edited by Nikolaj; 09-09-2010 at 10:18 AM.. |
