I care about what she wears on her feet. I do. Call me superficial and horrible. Those sneaker things are awful. Better to just wear flat boots, the whole look sucks.

Please, find one visible vein. I love the sheer black on her legs.

Misunderstood what you were saying. I was saying that if her legs were bare you would see veins. Sheer black, def not and I def agree - much better look!

I'll be that's why she wears the gloves. To hide her aging hands. I must admit I'm not a huge fan of them but I prefer the fingerless kind she's been wearing to the other motorcylce gloves she wore before.

I think it's good, sort of. On 'Unleashed'- the show I saw, she was in the platform boots and she looked like she was in pain, and she looked medicated. I believe in a performer wearing what they feel comfortable performing in, but the reality that there is attractive footwear that is comfortable hasn't yet occured to her. It's part of her hanging on to what worked 25 years ago, yet it's an improvement that she no longer feels it's necessary to pretend she's 5'7" by wearing boots that clearly would be painful for a gal in her 60s.
I lived in Reeboks- in the early 80s. She should check out Stacy Adams shoes (I believe there's a woman's line, too) or shoes made in Italy with the buttery, soft leather and silky laces that lace up past the ankle, they'd look great on her and compliment her billowy layers better than the combat boot-Reeboks. I do think its a good thing she can be comfortable and perhaps really get into her singing, again. Like she said during 'Unleashed'- her feet were hurting so bad she couldn't concentrate on her singing. At this stage, so late in her career, she needs to deliver killer vocals more than wear platform boots. Lower the dress hems to the floor and hide the shoes, if they have to be ugly. I think ditching the ridiculously high platform boots is the professional thing to do, to be able to perform in comfort and sing at her best, which she needs to do to keep continuing with concerts. Now, if she'd hire a stylist, imagine all the free shoes she could try out til she finds something comfortable and good looking! Last edited by Nikolaj; 08-31-2010 at 12:31 AM.. |

My plan right now is to slide into 60 in piece feeling beautiful and pray to God healthy. I still feel and look young. However my joints and FEET are kiiling me. So I can relate. Stevie is still my love and looks so beautiful, so let's slide into 70 in one piece woooooh00000000................You cannot imagine what this journey is like until you are here.

Something in my heart dies when I see the platform sneakers.

I guess word got back that the fans didn't like the boots, after all she did nickname one of her tours "The Boots Are Back" didn't she? She should just wear comfortable flats, those shoes really do look ridiculous on her.

Maybe she should have nicknamed this mini-tour as 'The Boots Were Back, but Now They Are Gone Again'

If I could, I'd mail Stevie a pair of boots from one of my favorite brands - Sofft. I have a pair of buttery soft black leather, knee high, lace-up-the-back high-heeled boots that are so comfortable, it's like being barefoot or wearing slippers.
Sofft for the freakin' WIN, y'all. I pretty much live in heels, and it IS possible to get comfortable ones that are also attractive. The odds of being able to do so go up considerably when you have money to throw around like Stevie would, too, so...I don't get the Frankenbok thing. Unless there's another reason she has to wear those particular shoes that we haven't thought of? When all is said and done, though, I'd much rather have Stevie comfy and happy on stage than in pain, even if the Frankenboks are a big ol' "oh, honey...no."
