Looking for Somebody. Always loved the space on that one. John and Mick with Peter on vocals and harp. Different to the usual guitar led tune. Nice.

"I Loved Another Woman". Been playing this one in my own bands for the past decade or so. Plus, it survived into set lists of a few later incarnations of Fleetwood Mac.
"The World Keeps On Turning" is an ever so close #2....almost could consider it a tie, but ties don't count in these polls, so my vote went the way it did.

Oh my God. Hardly possible to make a choice. In my order:
Merry go round - nr. 1 because of the intense emotion I feel in the guitar notes. Looking for somebody - tune stays in my head, almost daily I loved another woman - made me pick up guitar playing, loved the reverb. No place to go - beat stays in my head, almost weeekly The world keep on turning - blows me out on the "Early Years" DVD Long grey mare - song is OK, but not first in my list Nice poll |

Easy choice for me, "Merry Go Round". Those chord changes are dead on perfect. It's also the first time we hear that "tone" from Green's infamous Les Paul. Oh yeah, the solos are "pretty good" too.
![]() Honorable mention goes to "No Place to Go". It's probably the first time a British blues/rock band actually captured the raw emotion of the original song. When I sent this album to one of my friends who has loved Miss. Delta/Chicago blues for well over twenty years, he couldn't believe how Peter Green sang this song with the same depth, and passion as Howlin' Wolf. Last edited by slipkid; 08-18-2010 at 11:35 PM.. |

My vote goes to "World Keep on Turning."
I've actually heard this one live. Not performed by FM or by Peter Green, but by Graham Parker. I've heard him play this one solo a couple of times. His reputation is as a singer/songwriter but he's also an excellent guitar player.
