To JohnL...I was going to see Donna Summer on that Saturday as well, but the date got moved to September 4 now instead of August 28. Just a heads up.

Sorry John Yea, it sucks.

I got scheduled to work that night and was ticked I was going to miss Donna, but then saw on http://www.donna-tribute.com/news.htm that the date got changed:

[JUL 7] Attention anyone who was planning to see the show at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City on August 28. The concert date has been changed to September 4. Any tickets already purchased for August 28 will be honored for the September 4 show.

Of course I have to work that Saturday as well so I'm going to see Donna August 29 (sunday) in Vienna, VA at Wolf Trap. From what I read, it's still basically the "Crayons" tour which I saw in '08 & '09 lol...o well...saw some pics and she's looking great.

I've seen Donna quite a few times since '05 but I've never seen Stevie by herself, so I'm really looking forward to the Atlantic City show...going to be great!

To anyone who has been there before...the seating chart makes the sections on the side look awfully far from the stage. though it states that they are elevated above the floor. How are the views from the side sections?

Default well..

ticketmaster wants me to sit in section G, row B, seat 13.. that's all I keep getting when I try to buy a ticket.. as tothegypsy asked, anyone know about how far the sides are from the stage? I think this is the same arena Stevie played in 2001 (days after 9/11), but I was on the floor I can't seem to recall.

I'm glad to be going to see Stevie, but Casino shows can be a trip.. although I was on the floor in 2001, all I could hear for the first half of the show was "sit down.." and I was trying to sit but the folks in front of me were standing (can't blame them).. if not close enough to stand, then I'd rather get a seat in the back row.. too bad you can't pick seats from what is available instead of ticketmaster telling you where YOU should sit..

all good.. excited about seeing Stevie in a week... didn't think I would be seeing her this summer. JohnL.. cool that you are coming all the way from Tampa!

Ticketbastard sucks. Back in the 1970's and 1980's you were shown a floorplan of the arena and you simply pointed to the seat or seats you wanted and poof, they were yours. There was sometimes a limit of six seats max though.

I'm still waiting for all those "great seats" to be released on TM, you know the ones that get released right before the show. All I'm getting now are those seats to the extreme side of the stage...but, I actually enjoy a side view of a concert (call me weird). It's a different, kinda cool perspective on the whole thing so, if all else fails, I may end up getting one of those side seats. Regardless, I'm going. I need to see my Stevie!

I sure hope you go-and hit the Hard Rock before, regardless of what I could not even bear to read in another thread. It is what it is-a little get together for those who would to meet people they have communicated with for years or just one time-it doesn't matter. it is all good and in fun. Some feel a little compulsion to meet up as they knew loved and spoke to someone who while battling cancer, always posted very wise and valued advise to those who needed it. I hope you will come-I am a short 46 year old Lesbian with a wild heat tatoo on my upper left arm.
