Hello all: I certainly enjoy all three of Linds' contributions to the 1975 "Fleetwood Mac" ("White"). "Monday Morning" is a nice song, "I'm So Afraid" has great guitar work. But, "Blue Letter" just plain rocks. It got my vote. Best regards, Madelow.

Does Blue Letter even count? If World Turning doesn't count because it is a collaboration, how can a song that is not written by any member of the band but rather by Richard and Michael Curtis count?

These Rumours era songs fall in 1 of 4 categories - Lindsey, Stevie, Christine, or Collaboration. Lindsey sings lead on "Blue Letter", therefore "Blue Letter" is a Lindsey song. If it was written by Christine or Stevie, as in the case of "Crystal" then a credible dispute can be made.

Songs in the discussion thread can certainly be disputed, but once it is in the poll, then it is official!.

Since Fleetwood Mac's version was released almost, if not over, a year before the Curtis Bros own version, I'd say Fleetwood Mac's version is the DEFINITIVE version of the song. I'd even go so far as to say that if Fleetwood Mac HADN'T recorded & released the song, the Curtis Bros album with "Blue Letter" on it probably would never have gotten released.

And, to show how the "lowly" bass player can change the entire feel of a song, listen to the two versions. John's bass playing adds the life and the kick to the song. The Curtis Bros version sounds boring by comparison.

The Lindsey songs are bit tricky for me, since I'm more of a Christine/Stevie fan. Having said that, I think I like his earlier songs more than his later ones.

My vote went to "Monday Morning" with "Blue Letter" not far behind. "I'm So Afraid" - not my cup of tea!

I love the song Monday Morning. I think it made a great opening track for the album. Most people dread Monday but this is a song to help us enjoy that day. It is so easy to sing along to. "Monday Morning you sure look fine. Friday I've got traveling on my mind. First you love me then you get on down the line. But I don't mind, no, I don't mind."

I love Blue Letter and loved the 1982 performances of it as well as the 1977 perfromances. Remember Stevie dancing across the stage with her tambo during the Mirage concert? That was so cool. You could tell she enjoyed this song as much as he did, and Chris did too.

I'm So Afraid is classic Buckingham. When I saw the Unleashed show I closed my eyes during this song and flashes of the 1970's rolled through my mind. I was recently walking across the field of my Junior High School and started singing this song. I went to that school from 1976-1978. Lindsey has been trying to duplicate that guitar solo ever since. Remember the song Tango In The Night?
