Of course, someone could argue that this is just a fan party and therefore doesn't need a professional press release. And if someone argued that, I would totally agree! Except if you don't need a professional press release, then you don't need a press release at all.

That thing is not doing anyone ANY favors here. Yikes.
How right you are.
No self respecting organization is going to use the free press site (prlog).

Yar, that too - but even if you're going to use PRLog, you can at least write the damn thing well.

I feel like I am being really mean here, but...I am really mean in general, so I guess it's not unexpected at the very least?

Seriously, though, y'all - if any of you wanna throw a Stevie party and do a press release about it in future, give me a shout so we can cobble something together that will actually represent you WELL. It'll be fun and I won't want to bang my forehead on my desk repeatedly - everyone wins!

All the same, baby. All the same.

"You never know what I'll do. I've resequenced my show. I'm a master at sequencing. I'm the one who sequenced for Fleetwood Mac. I sequenced 'Rumours.' Everyone loves my sequences. They're fun.''

Louie and Zombie wrote what I was thinking, when I first read this.
I waited to reply; because I think it's sad, when fans get goofy enough to want press coverage for their fandom. I've seen it before, with fans of other performers. It can, and usually does, give 'fans' a bad reputation and it can get ugly.
I also think it's a smarmy way to treat the performer, for a group of fans to seek media coverage for themselves when her name is being used without permission. There doesn't even seem to be a charity involved.
As lacking as the press release was, the 'desperately seeking validation' vibe made me feel bad for the people involved. Yet, the people traveling from Ireland for the concert is touching.
I wish them all a fun time with their event, but, yes, it strikes me as 'creepy' also.

To me, it feels like a desperate attempt to get the performer's attention.
